@@mysticjedi6730 You've seen the show I'm assuming right? Sig will rage and yell at a moments notice, Wild Bill humiliates his son in front of the whole crew. Keith thinks hazing is okay and part of becoming a good deckhand. Jakes actions are nothing compared to some of the "legend captains" on this show. I think in this field of work yelling is basically normal for most rough situations. He only yelled at his friend after days at sea of not catching crab, losing money, and having to hear his friend's disrespect the whole time. If he struck his friend I would agree, but yelling really isn't that bad.

By offering you a high paying, hard-working job, trusting you and watching you fail to preform qnd be unaware of it....and I'm the one f-ing up Your life? Dont say another word unless you want to make zero money this season. I'm not kidding. Listen to what I'm about to say without interrupting me. You can't follow that one simple order from your boss, you don't deserve to have a job. your job, money, future with this boat: terminates immediately if you interrupt me. Test me....I'm not your friend, I'm your boss. We are at work. You're here to work and I'm here to run the show. We are friends in our off time. Now, you are talking to you boss like a friend. If you're too dumb to get that, I have nothing but pity for you as a friend, and disappointment in you as your employer. I, now, have to find a solution...to your behavior. one that's best for everyone I employ. If that means I fire one guy so the rest work more efficiently, then that's what is best for everyone I employ, regardless of if or how it effects you. Here is the deal....and it's the only one you will be offered, it won't be offered again and is contingent on you keeping up your end of the deal: You aren't here to make or be friends, you're here to work and earn money. Instead, you're costing me money, and I won't let you do that. So, it's simple: you cause or get involved in one issue from now on, I will unf-k your life decision for you: I will take back my offer to have you on my boat, since THAT is what f-d your life up, right? You, meanwhile... as a not employed passenger of my boat, will stay in your rack, allowed access to the head only. Food will be brought to your rack. Your own personal cruise... No work. When we get to port.... you get off the boat and take your no pay. 👍 you earned it. Do the job you're being paid to do and do it well. Be thankful to have a job, act humble, keep your mouth shut, your head down and prove to yourself that you're not going to punk out. take ownership. Otherwise, I will take ownership of your actions. If you're going to blame me for f-ing your life up, fine. I know the truth, you know the truth. You chose to be here, I didn't put a gun to your head and force you... I'm paying you money to be here! Im trying, as a boss, to stop an employee from being a liar and f-ing theory own life up.... but I cant control the actions of someone dead set on lying and not working. Complain about your job and blame your career issues on me again, fight with coworkers again, be a nuisance at all...and I will make you an honest man by firing you. force you to live with the fact that you are the one who is actually f-ing up your life. Don't 'roger, yes sir, aye aye me. Don't say a word. You can't afford it. Your life's focus now is to keep from jobless. Leave my wheelhouse, get back on deck or go to your rack....now. You're at work. I'm your boss....not your f-ing friend. Never make that mistake again." Ive hired friends and had this conversation with them. If I'm paying you to do something: do it. I don't care if you my friend or my mom: if we are at work and I'm your boss, you do what I say or find a new job. Home and work are two different places. Bosses get paid to make sure things run well. Not to make sure their friends make money. If I'm being paid to be a boss, then I will do my job. 👍
