And believe it or not, Manhattan has become soooo much more "cleaned-up" especially when Giuliani was mayor and right up to now!! All the "mid-town" horror stories of hookers, drugs, homelessness, skid row and general public foolishness was terminated by both Giuliani and Disney, as Disney bought up just about every square inch of real estate they could!! @@joeg5414 Yes, that's true. I had a fiance who died in a car wreck in 1991. He was racing a buddy down the freeway at 2:00 am and blew a tire. A couple years later I met a state trooper who remembered the accident. There had been a rookie on scene that night who actually quit after that. He discovered that he couldn't handle that I guess. hard to have any emapthy or respect for people endangering the public... and that includes the cops. They wanted to give a ticket so bad that they chased a man to death, and had several cars driving dangerously through the streets. Do you know how many cars each department crashes each month? its a lot. if they spend half that on better tech, then they could just follow the guy safely until he goes home. THEN arrest him. but cops LOVE the dangerous high speed chases. gets their rocks off.

Most crashes that end up wrapped around a tree or a pole are usually fatal or the occupants have severe injuries. I’ve seen a few as a medic. All were either killed or severely hurt. One day I was on the helicopter and we went to a crash after a 16 year texting hit another car and the other car was wrapped around the tree and from the air we knew it was bad. We took the driver who did an hour or so later and the other helicopter came for her son but he died on scene so other helo was returned to service. Her son was only 12 and the 16 year old had no injuries or very little

In a small town, tucked away in the countryside, rookie police officer Mark Johnson was about to experience something he would never forget. Fresh out of the police academy, Mark was eager to prove himself and make a difference in his community. One sunny afternoon, Mark was patrolling the quiet streets when he noticed a suspicious-looking car. It was an old, beaten-up vehicle that seemed out of place in this peaceful town. Curiosity getting the best of him, Mark decided to pull the car over to investigate. As Mark approached the vehicle, he noticed a distinct smell of burning rubber wafting through the air. The driver's window was rolled down, and inside sat a middle-aged man with a nervous expression on his face. Mark approached cautiously, ready to handle any situation that might arise. "Good afternoon, sir," Mark greeted the driver in a firm yet polite tone. "I noticed your car seems to be emitting a lot of smoke. Is everything alright?" The man glanced nervously at Mark and replied, "Uh, yeah, officer. I'm not sure what's happening. My car has been acting up lately, and I thought I could make it to the mechanic." Concerned for the man's safety, Mark decided to call for backup and ask the driver to step outside the vehicle. As they both moved to a safe distance, Mark couldn't help but notice the smoke growing thicker and denser around the car. It was beginning to create an eerie cloud, making it difficult to see. Just as Mark was about to radio for assistance, a loud rumbling noise emanated from the mysterious cloud of smoke. The sound grew more intense as the seconds ticked by, sending shivers down Mark's spine. He watched in utter disbelief as the car started to vibrate violently, its doors shaking uncontrollably. Then, in a blink of an eye, the car and the cloud of smoke vanished into thin air, leaving Mark standing dumbfounded in the middle of the road. He couldn't comprehend what had just happened. Was this some sort of elaborate prank? As backup units arrived, Mark struggled to explain the bizarre occurrence. The driver, equally perplexed, cooperated fully with the police investigation. After conducting a thorough search of the area, no trace of the car or the cloud of smoke could be found. Days turned into weeks, and the strange incident became the talk of the town. Some believed it was a supernatural event, while others dismissed it as an optical illusion. Mark couldn't shake off the memory, constantly questioning his own sanity. Despite the skeptics, Mark's encounter with the disappearing car remained etched in his mind. It fueled his determination to uncover the truth. From that day forward, he became even more committed to his role as a police officer, vowing to protect his community from whatever strange occurrences might come their way. As the years went by, Mark became a respected and seasoned cop. Yet, he never forgot the day the car disappeared into a cloud of smoke. It served as a reminder that sometimes, reality can be stranger than fiction, and that the world is full of mysteries waiting to be solved.

1. Do not steal. 2. Always wear a seat belt (my mother was recently hit by an elderly driver and my moms car rolled twice before stopping, the seat belt and air bags saved he life, she made it out with only airbag rash and a bruised collar bone). 3. Do not speed, especially if you are not 100% in the know about the vehicle and the road. 4. Never do any combination of what the suspect did because you WILL either mess yourself up, mess up others, mess up you and them, or put any number of people in forever boxes. Be smart, and be safe.
