Honestly I couldn't work for a bloke that watches over your back on a GPS or not allowing to roll at 100km only 90km....that's to intense, I only work for employers that do everything by text to get addresses of drops and pick ups thats it they leave you alone....only call if there is a problem that's is it....only time you should even see or talk to the boss is when you hand your paperwork in....

People need no know before commenting that in Australia there is a thing called "chain of responsibility", which means that if a truck driver breaks the speed limit (90 Km/h for oversize loads) all people involved, which includes the driver, owner and customer are all in trouble and all will have to explain why the truck was speeding. Australia is no Europe or United States of America and what maybe a low paid job in your country is not a low paid job in Australia. People in Australia who shear sheep, drive trucks, build houses, fix cars and some other jobs are all very well-paid jobs and the minimum wage is $23.23 au per hour with many companies paying above the minimum wage.

GPS is a fantastic tool 👏 Maybe the owner should set alerts for when they are traveling under 40kmh! So he can adjust the eta of the truck ! Or share the GPS with the crane company so the can track the trucks ?

The way this boss and drivers are talking I’m glad I didn’t end up being a trucker…. Boss is going on about being part of the “A” team…. Not one of them is wearing a seat belt and has to phone them to slow down… No thanks.

Better to work where you know you're needed & do your best to keep the truck clean etc, rather than work where you're under too much pressure.

If youre out om the road the deadline ks irrelevant you just drive and do it however long it takes, its not up to the driver to get there quick they can't control traffic

True that. The eternal battle - making deadlines vs traffic. Seems like bosses, drivers and four wheelers all got something different to say about how truckies manager that 😣
