Housing in Japan is different. There are micro apartments, small apartments, and some larger apartments and single family homes. This is a small apartment. The toilets usually have bidets and are encloses away from the bath. Many small apartments include a washing machine. Sometimes a refrigerator is included. This apartment has more storage than many. Clothes are often dried in the bath area with certain settings on a ceiling fan (exhaust and sometimes heat). Some apartments have balconies so tenants can dry clothes, or have a small garden. Without a living room, the bedroom serves as both bedroom and living room. This bedroom has a door, many apartments are more like studios with the bed, kitchen, living area all together. I hop this helps!

Why the mask?

Many Asians wear masks in Japan. I don't know why or if is to help against particles in the air or against disease.
