I'm surprised you didn't cover their docking stations in this video. I think it's worth mentioning that the Shark model uses a bagless dock vs the dock that the roomba uses that requires you to purchase vacuum bags. I think that alone is a big selling point for many people

Completely understand wanting to bring in an additional narrator, but every channel that does this looses something when they do. It’s always a little less authentic and real when the creator and driving force isn’t the one presenting the video. Hopefully this will just be a Tuesday sort of thing and not on Fridays as well.

I’ve continued to watch every Vacuum Wars video for years, despite not being in the market for a new vacuum. Didn’t realize it until now, but it’s the charm of the channel host which keeps me watching these videos. This video doesn’t have the same appeal. I wouldn’t follow this channel if it was like this.

@@kylestruble6568 The I3 has a map you can define. Just eliminate the areas on the map you don't want it to clean and it won't go there unless it gets 'lost' and has to rediscover it's position and then it may wander into the area.

Got the shark AV 250 with the vacuum base on sale for $199Canadian, and would definitely recommend anyone with a single floor layout to pick up the shark for similar price. Does an amazing job in my 750sq/f apartment with hard floors and 2 rugs, I barely ever need to bring out my manual vacuum. Also am glad to see the extra video a week and like the new narrator! PS I wish he went over what the differences are between all the very similar models like the 2501, 2502, and 2511

Hi, in the next reviews I would like you to assess how "gentle" the robots are when approaching a wall \ obstacle \ furniture. I had a Roomba and I returned it because it was just to harsh when bumping against chairs and walls. I bought an Ecovacs which is way better on this specific area. My understanding is that radar \ lidar robot are usually more careful but I would like this to be tested in each review!

I own both, shark 100% is better than the i3. The i3 does not have keep out zones as stated in the video. Mapping is sooooo much quicker on the shark then the i3

I have owned both of these exact vacuums for juat over a year. The Shark is by far a better vacuum. To the point where I genuinely cant understand why people buy Roombas and makes me wish I had bought 2 of the Sharks. First of all, the Shark has a fsr better app, much better cleaning performance, and I really like the 3 "levels" of suction and the addition of smart map features (zones) that the Roomba completely lacks. The biggest issue has been the reliability of the Roomba, I have separately had to replace 2 components that completely failed. One was the cleaning head and the other was the dust bin. While the Shark on the otherhand hasnt had a single issue. Another huge problem is the Roomba getting "stuck" or "lost" or otherwise not making it back to the base or finishing cleaning. Again, I cannot reccomend against the Roomba enough while recommending the Shark 100%.

I have the irobot roomba i3 evo, and my son has the i3+ evo. I also have the Shark IQ and I had both of them map the house. For some reason the Shark lost the map but before it lost it the maps were nearly identical. The Shark is the self emptying model, but the irobot is not. My son loves his but you forgot to mention that you have to purchase bags for the irobot roomba i3 + Evo and the Shark is bagless. I just purchased two new ones, The ihome autovac Nova S1 and the Shark AI. Both use lidar technology and do mapping in real time on screen. You say that the irobot maps as quickly as the Shark, and that has not been my experience in any way. The Shark maps much faster in my case. Thanks for the video.

Sorry to say, but I really am not a fan of the new narrator. I feel like I was listening to an AI narrator. The voice seemed very flat and was pretty monotone. Makes the channel feel less authentic and more like one of those cheap KZbin tech channels with a digitized voice narration. I don’t know why and it sounds ridiculous, but the voice really made me end up not finishing the video… it just bothers me.
