Omg... literally her wanting to involve your guys' parents... your both grown adults and could have handled it yourselves. So annoying, I've dealt with a similar roommate, and so glad to be done with it, and you are too.😊

Girl, one of my current roommates filled the entire fridge and all the cabinets save for the one shelf I had to claim, I have one of the door shelves in the fridge and she's mad that me and my other roommate told her she's taking too much space and she needs to share the area. She will literally let her food rot and stink up our kitchen and living room, while only eating take-out. Oh, and she has a mini fridge in her room filled to the brim. Her room stinks so bad and you can smell it from outside her room. She also refuses to let her cat outside her room, and the poor thing is clawing at the door all day and I cannot imagine the damage the poor cat has done to the carpet. And when I say her room stinks and is gross... the poor cat. She has such a bad attitude and is so unpleasant.

Damn why won’t she let the cat be free? Maybe it’s in heat and spraying everywhere and that’s why it stinks 👀

i feel like those type of roommates didn’t have siblings, parents around often, or just 0 morals. I felt bad when i left scissors on the counter once😂😂

Why the heck does she expect you to pay the whole buyout when she’s moving out too at the same time? 🤦🏼♀️
@pola56462 жыл бұрын
she was the one who decided to move out the other girl only wanted to move out because she coudnt afford this place on her own
@pola56462 жыл бұрын
i get it, having to share the place with your roommate’s boyfriend is not okay and i wouldn’t agree to do this unless he payed 1/3 of the rent upfront. If he didn’t sign any documents like both of the roommates did he is not legally obligated to pay.

HELL NO! I would never allow anyone's partner to move in. Ya'll wanna live together? Cool, then go find your own place.

You seem very sweet. Don’t let people use you like that. In the end, she got what she wanted. Smh.
@californiadoll62732 жыл бұрын
I think since you mentioned you were moving out first then it should have been your responsibility to pay the pay out. Also, it's kinda your fault for allowing her boyfriend to move in, the moment she told you he was moving in you should had said NO HE IS NOT ON THE LEASE THEREFORE HE IS NOT MOVING IN!

Literally I just kicked a roommate out of my apartment. She was disgusting 🤮. Smoked weed in the apartment. Dirty dishes laying around.... messed with the thermostat constantly and ate my food without replacing it... let’s just say I wasn’t nice about it anymore so she’s gone now lmao

i’m about to start living in an apartment. After this summer i’ll end with $4,000 and then have a job while in college but don’t get a lot of hours while in school. With that said, how much did you spend a month on groceries? I’m trying to budget
@Devinisgreat3 жыл бұрын
@@gobobcatsattexasstate6273 well I don’t eat a lot. But if I budget right. $200 a month

Why are people like that? We wrote a post saying we were looking for a person for the 3rd room in the apartment and very clearly we stated that we are looking for someone who is clean and cleans after themselves, someone who respects boundaries (for example not taking someone else's food) and are not noisy. We had an interview and he said "sure, of course" to all of that and then it turned out to be the opposite. I was SO stressed out with school and then coming home, hearing doors bang (people still do not know how to use door handles or knobs to open and close doors quietly) day and night, having to clean the kitchen before using it, having to sort the dishwasher several times a day or else it'd be full with just 3 things in it (it's a small one)... This dude did f* all until after a few months later I finally noticed that I was not being crazy like I kept hearing and the tension kept growing until we kicked him out. It is insane how much I tolerated because he made me feel as if it were my fault. Now we live alone and I am so chill.

You were the one who made the call. She wouldn’t have moved if it wasn’t for you. You decided you wanted to move out so imo you should’ve payed the lease not half of it but most if not all of it. If you signed the documents and committed to staying there for that amount of time but later on decided to move out sooner it’s your problem. she only moved out because she couldn’t afford on her own. And i get it. Having to share the place with additional person which is your roommates boyfriend is not okay, but you should have said something. either no or make him pay 1/3 of rent upfront cuz if he didn’t sign any documents like you both did he is not legally obligated to pay the rent. I’m literally not connected to any party and consider both sides but in this case it’s on you.

What is up with these room mates and thermostats...every room mate horror story includes a thermostat....jeezzz!!!
@klsunsets80203 жыл бұрын
You did the right thing, the last straw should have been her moving her boyfriend in. He payed no bills, had no job, and was basically taking up space. And you didn't really know him well at all. You just never know what anyone is capable of, so that wasn't the best living situation for you at all.

Your kitchen/living room in that video really isn’t that bad, you should see the way my roommate has ours right now (I’m not okay with it, but if I try to ask her to pick up after herself she has a temper tantrum and stops talking to me for weeks). I completely understand not wanting to live in filth though, I’m honestly scared that we’ll get roaches soon because of all the garbage she leaves everywhere and not sure what to do since I moved 16,000 miles away from home to be here and have no support this far from home.

don’t be! most of the roommate horror stories happen because they find roommates in a rush(or just plain bad luck) but try to be picky when choosing a roommate, once you think you have them, continue talking with them and even facetime them since live video is different than texting. I found my roommate through instagram and now we’ll be living together again and we’re best friends. Don’t stress, and remember that you can always move out and find new ones :)
