Since finding out YT is a good source of vintage TV for those things I wouldn't normally look at I have really enjoyed Rooms. To think this was cheap filler afternoon TV back then. Yet the acting and writing are superb. The sets just enough to convey the situation. And it is far better than most of what I see when I go to see my parents and find out what they are watching. No gimmicks. No overblown faux emotion. It's just brilliant.

You hit the nail on the head. I never watched this series & actively avoided it, when it was on years ago, but, turning from terrestrial TV to You Tube, I discover it’s very enjoyable!

@@sionnach3104 Thank you. Yes I have branched away from vintage TV spies, warfare, and sc-fi. I wouldn't have watched it once. But for me now vintage TV is a 'social document'. It is our culture's aural history now. So many facets to look at. Not only from the era that they are trying to depict if a historical drama. But also of the time it was made too. Over on the Russian video site OK look for 'Within these walls'. A mid-70's drama about a a women's prison. Absolutely fascinating.........

@@Victoria-gq8gt Hi Victoria. I bet you'll get a funny look to say the least. If my memory is correct good manners vanished with GreenShield stamps. All the best wishes for 2025

I remember watching this TV show in the 1970's. Mafeking Terrace is a fictional London Street, but references later in the series suggest that Mafeking Terrace is in Chalk Farm, North London.
