Love watching these videos. They help me keep up to date on my rigging abilities. The jobs I take on are typically unconventional, where no one has ever rope accessed it before and there are few, if any fixed anchor points. Often have to get creative, and purchase new equipment. The great thing about no fixed anchor points is that I have virtually no competition to bid against me and I can charge whatever I need to.

@BrodyYYC3 жыл бұрын
I detailed every single window in this video before I squeegee it. When the person I was doing this contract for saw the video he said "really good work but less detailing next time" You'll be hard pressed to find high-rise window cleaners that detail windows. They won't even carry a rag. The biggest channel Moerman makes is 22 inches and my standard size I use is 24. I'm usually use a Sorbo with a Ninja handle. I was just using a Ninja on this one because it's a construction clean so I'm constantly re-cleaning the same area anyways. I've never had complaints about drip marks because my windows don't drip. That's why I either pre-detail the top or stay a millimeter or so from it. I'm too OCD to let windows have drip marks.

@@L.A-adventures Even though I have thousands of hours on ropes I've never actually taken a course so I'm still learning lots that's why I like to ask lots of questions. The difference I see between the 2 is that you have each line load shared between the 2 and with the way I have it both lines are load shared between the 2.
@jasonclark30573 жыл бұрын
@@BrodyYYC How can someone claim to have thousands of hours rope time but have never taken a course!!!! That would never be allowed over here in England. You just wouldn't be allowed to work without your IRATA certs. Also, I'm amazed at how many videos I've seen (and I don't mean this one). with some really poor safety, ie no lanyard on squeegee or applicator and so on. A squeegee from that height would kill somebody stone dead in an instant. Also, people tend to get a bit lazy after a while and start to take silly shortcuts to save a few seconds, such as going over the edge before clipping the back up rope grab on, or just using a back up and a ID descender, but no chest ascender. I guess that some countries just don't have the strict levels of health and safety legislation that we have here in England.
