A great way to trim tree branches that are high up in a tree.

Thank you so much for this video. I had branches hanging over my second story roof and squirrels were jumping on to roof. I was about to hire a tree trimmer company as I was afraid of those limbs dropping onto my new roof. I bought a rope saw and was able to safely cut away those limbs. This saved me several hundred dollars.

Thank you! Our home owners insurance went up by 20%. So we switched companies.... the new company wouldn't insure our home until our branches were cut.... I'm going to buy one today... Thanks, you saved us a ton of money... We just didn't have money for a tree trimming serivce..

Thank you I think you just saved me a heap of money getting a pro in to deal with some high branches which are beyond my pole saw.

I am still grinning that it was YOU who had the nice pictorial of actual usage right when I needed it! Going to share with the hubby and we can get right to working those branches. Thx for the video. I should say all all the videos!

Nice to see a lady using the saw. I ordered one yesterday, but a lady neighbor discouraging me saying will take too much muscle power. I can't wait to use it. My neighbor's trees along the property line a nuisance. Happy if can do it safely and notvhave to pay tree cutters..

I know of a judge, in a small town in Tennessee, who was cutting tree branches with a ladder, fell off, and is now in a wheelchair permanently, from a broken back. My husband scared me half to death after hurricane Katrina. He was climbing way up in trees with a chainsaw! Thankfully, he didn't get hurt. Ten years later, his health isn't as good, and we hire out what we can't reach safely. I hate that his health is bad, but am thankful he isn't climbing trees anymore. This is a great idea for removing out of reach limbs, and I have one of those little saws. Just need to attach some line to it, and we might save a few bucks. Thanks for the video!

These are good saws, they have been around for 40 years that I know of, I made one of them back in the early 70ies, You can cut limbs, as high as you can toss the weight, And you can try a 1lb teardrop fishing weight, shot from a slingshot, Use Nylon string tied to your rope. good luck.

Never knew this existed, wow! Must get me one. Love the accent. Sounds like Tennessee.

Love the silence of the rope saw over the noisy chainsaw 😂

This looks really easy to make with a chainsaw chain. I need this right now to limb down a tall 3 trunk locust that looks like it wants to fall on my house. I assume any chainsaw chain connected with a rope would do the job, besides the manual work involved. Much cheaper than a professional for sure, and I want to save as much of this beautiful tree with most of it's furns and shade beneath as possible.

I recommend you put some lard on the chain. The reason why is when the fat gets into the wood it will prevent it from getting stuck in the cut its making. If it does you will have a hard time getting it down.

I have a rope chain saw. Great piece of equipment if you have tall trees. Never fails. Rope saw goes up... Tree limbs come down. Works fast too!

I think it's a great survival tool. It's light, small, can reach high and far and it does a great job too. The ropes could also come in handy.
