Ive had this washer for 7 years originally bought since i needed something fast and instock. I like it can wash comforters. Love that it doesn't have all the crazy unnecessary electronics that break on other washers. Ive never had a problem. I believe this is part of Whirlpool no wonder its a great washer.

I just inherited one and I have no clue how to add the dang fabric softner without the dispenser. The lid locks and you have to stop the load to add? Seems dumb.

You could buy the optional fabric softener dispenser, and remove the agitator cap that's on it now, and put the dispenser on the top of the agitator. If you look at the side of your agitator, almost to the top, you'll see a square hole. That's where the fabric softener would mix with rinse water, and come out into the load. If you don't want to buy that, you could always buy one of those Downy ball things. They're designed to open up during the first spin cycle, and release the softener for the rinse cycle, but I don't like using them, because they can tangle up in the laundry. Hope this helps.

If you want fabric softener you can just buy one for this washer as a replacement for the cap.

I bought this a year ago and this thing uses soooo much water not efficient at all. And autosense does not work I repeat autosense is a joke does not work.
