Aaron is awesome. I got my start by watching his videos and buying Makers patterns. A very honest and down to earth maker. Another great pattern!

When I was in Waco at the 2023 show, I thought I had picked up this template. Alas, I grabbed the other version, so I am winging it…🙃. Following along as we go

I was so lucky and received Elephant in my mystery box. I will start making the 2.0 once I watch the video for the first time. Thank you Makers for the great and lasting templets.

I went out somewhere around the 17 minute marker and woke back up @ the 41 point. Something extremely soothing about watching your videos,... and I LOVE 'EM! Of course, I was angry at myself for going lights out for no reason and then and went back to my blackout moment to restart. The 2nd time, I stayed for the whole thing (LOL). Don't change a thing! I relish each one. Great job, HIGHLY informative!!!

Looking forward to making the mystery project. Any carving patterns for it? Also what size stitching irons are those? Thanks Aaron. Will see you at pendleton

I did not have any patterns drawn up for it. The irons I'm using are 8spi

I love your work, I created my own fringe purse with your templates. I know this is a silly question, but I am still fairly new to leather working and do not have a sewing machine. If I hand stitch this, could I cut a corner and not sew the card T pockets down? Instead just cement them after feathering them?
@makersleathersupply1220Ай бұрын
@EmilyMullens-y1v it might work forever and it might work for 5 days. Depends on the glue and the leather. Good news is they got only need a couple stitches to ensure it lasts forever.

great video. i love that you leave the little mistakes in the video instead of editing them out. i have the roper wallet 1.0 template, how can i add the clear id pocket and use that template? is it possible?
@makersleathersupply12203 жыл бұрын
It is possible, but you'd need to leave the bottom card slot off... maybe the next one up too, I'd have to measure it

Where id you get the corner jig you're using

Just a thought, why not a backer behind window to hide pockets. Might be too thick, but maybe not.
@makersleathersupply12203 жыл бұрын
I considered this but didn't because of the thickness issue

Is it Possible to purchase just templates for just the card pockets, or other individual pieces of templates? to add to existing or replace broken parts of templates?

I am new to your site. What is the mystery box that you talk about?
@CoachKR Жыл бұрын
Assembling my first using this template. There are only 4 marks for card pocket bottoms. Is that all the wallet will fit?
@makersleathersupply1220 Жыл бұрын
There's another piece with 6 marks. The one you're looking at is if you're going to do an ID window.

Where did you get that right angle tool for aligning your leather with your patter? That is really cool!

Check out Mascon leather on KZbin. Also Zeebee Mascon tools. They sell "bump jigs". He is also a great teacher of the leather trade as Aaron is.

What are you thoughts on this vs. the Tyvek method?
@makersleathersupply12203 жыл бұрын
They each have a place. For a higher end wallet though I prefer to do this for my customer.
@mikeleahey91902 жыл бұрын
Why not place the clear pocket piece on the cash side pocket? Then you could keep all 5 card pockets.
@makersleathersupply12202 жыл бұрын
That's the beauty of it, you can place it wherever you want. I dont do it because I don't want the cash cover pi3ce to be rigid with a card and extra sewing.
@mikeleahey91902 жыл бұрын
@@makersleathersupply1220 ok, that makes sense. I have the 1.0 version, I guess I’ll order this one as well. Thanks for the response!

The guy that complained about the template is a perfect example of survivorship bias. It's why negative reviews can be taken out of context easily. The average person will only review something they do not like.

Hey Aaron nice job on the leather wallet it looks great on another note you talk about doc on the videos but I never see them is he really a real person or is he just made up just asking Aaron not being rude Aaron have a nice day today Aaron! 💖👍
