I have been saying for a long time LIV doesn't need the PGA or a deal with PGA. They have a strong field every single tournament and you just have to look at the leaderboards of a PGA and LIV event on the last day to know where the strength is. Just 4 more top golfers to LIV and PGA 's back will be broken! LIV (52 golfers) has 14 Major Winners with 27 Major Titles between them...among the top 52 PGA players (according to OWGR) there are 15 Major winners with 22 Major Titles between them. The Majors, for their own good, will have to change their stance on LIV golfers. If they keep ignoring them and abide by the fake and irrelevant OWGR rankings, they stand a chance to fade in importance and be downgrade to just 4 more PGA Elevated Events...So the Majors need LIV golfers. In my opinion PIF should start a strong European Tour to replace the very weak PGA-affiliated feeder tour that is the DP Tour, where the pro-golfers not on LIV and outside the Top 50 PGA players (the only ones the PGA cares about and reward repeatedly), can play and attempt to get the European Tour to where it was in the 80's and 90's when it was just as strong as the PGA. This Tour can allow LIV players and be a feeder Tour for LIV. Lastly...OWGR is irrelevant and a farce. Golf needs a new, independent and non-affiliated ranking system that objectively ranks golfers around the world.

If only the LIV format was worth watching. They may have strong players now but with the stupid format they have, we don't know which individual is the best, and golf is an individual sport, not a team sport......

The PGA Tour is becoming a feeder tour for LIV. Jay Monahan's reaction to LIV was panicked and stupid. If he had been pro active things could have been so much better for all. WGRP is trash.

Good 27 min Mr Haney. Generally agree with everything as always. I will ask: did you see Rory’s presser talking about chubbys comments. He seems very sarcastic as if to say chubby doesn’t know anything. That’s how I took it. Rory was altruistic but he is also taking care of himself. He thought his connections with pga tour brass was the better side for him to pick. And now when he really should stick with the Tour since he and the pga tour golden boys have a cool billion coming their way; he is maybe looking for an even better deal. Also I do think many LIv guys want to play pga tour events. Some maybe just one or two, others I can see playing 10 events plus the 14 on LIv and 4 majors. Other LIv guys like the euros may also play 28-30 events but maybe only 5 on the pga tour. But none of them are crying to come back, that’s for sure. And it’s still so funny to hear pga tour guys like Rickie talk about LIv guys needing to be punished and suspended when it’s the fact the LIv guys are not around that is killing the pga tour. Enough for now.

I’ve said for a while now that Rory is holding out for as close to a billion as he can….he definitely won’t sign for less than Rahm or anyone else, Rory is like a slimy politician trying to leverage by using slander etc. Whichever way the wind blows is the way Rory goes, the tide is changing and now he’s saying nice-ish things about LIV

“Too much of anything dulls the appreciation “ was a message I received in a fortune cookie. The pga tour has too many tournaments diluting the interest. The non signature events are so unwatchable. PGA should have just signature events with only top players playing where lower tier players playing the other events to qualify to get into the signature events. Then have 6 or so events with top qualifying pga and Liv players in their respective tours competing together. Have 4 of those events overseas to “grow” the game for pga. These 6 events will earn greater point to get into majors (Points criteria by Majors committee and not irrelevant OWGR). Both tours can coexist and still compete together for best competition for the fans. Stacked leaderboard will happen because better fields.

The lack of name players in the Mexican open shows that the pga is not trying to grow the game globally like Liv is. The Liv players are doing it and pga players are not when given the chance. Not a priority for Monahan either. Yet pga players saying bull to the Liv players for saying it’s one of the reasons they like Liv.

I hope LIV NEVER EVER asks Rory to join !!! He needs to go down with the PGA ship !!! The PGA has been crap for many years and I have not watched it for over 5 years, not even the majors!! These guys forgot what golf is, its ENTERTAINMENT for he PEOPLE and its not a damn JOB, they are puppets paid by the money of FANS to play a sport !!! PGA never had any plans to GROW the game worldwide, they only wanted to keep their Monopoly! If golf is supposed to have traditions its only one major tournament in UK and the other 3 are in America, thats not a worldwide tour of champions, they need Majors all over the world and every qualified player get to compete against the best across the planet !!! I m 63 and have watched and played for 49 years & GOLF needs a true shaking up as times are changing and Golf needs it the most! Watching the PGA tour has become a BORE, they are SLOW and add commercials every 5 minutes , and they only show the top 4 players for 3-4 hours , its STALE !!!!!!!!!!

It's sad and frankly quite embarrassing to see rambling Hank here be such a shill for the part-time clown golf that is LIV and be so critical of those who don't "take the money," sell out their legacy as golfers, their self-respect as human beings, and join up with those who killed 3,000 people on 9/11. And all for what, so that millionaires can become billionaires? Sorry Hank, there's more to life than money.
