Jess had a lot of growing up to do and there were parts of their relationship that I had real problems with, but these two had some of the best natural chemistry I've ever seen. Not manufactured at all. Team Jess for me. I thought Rory was the best version of herself with him/when he was around. Most importantly, he showed progress while most characters regressed. I'll take the damaged boy who manages to pull himself together as an adult any day.

@Tranquility99 She was a teen mom turned extremely annoying woman child. Also, if you remember when Lorelai first got to Stars Hollow she 16/17 still pregnant with Rory or Rory was a newborn. She had nowhere to go, Mia the owner of The Independence Inn let them live in the shed on the property. My point is that most likely food was very scarce for them and they didn’t meet Sookie until later. Also, god knows when Lorelai finally reconciled with her parents. That’s why you always see them gorge themselves. They don’t care about nutrition, they care about surviving due to their past poverty.

Rory and Jess were together first so that would make Luke and Lorelai the weirdos, I mean Lorelai started dating her daughter's boyfriends uncle, technically they called dibs. His feelings for her aren't going to change because his uncle started dating her mom, there is no blood relation, and they are not actual cousins, they were together, they never saw each other that way, they didn't grow up as cousins either.
