I don't agree with the view that he is purely an example of the hyper-modern pundit who cares only about clicks. Yes, his rise cannot be explained without the parallel explosion of fan content since 2014, but he deliberately styles his analysis on traditional emotive responses, love of grit and passion for old rivalries.
