Finally!!! Been waiting for this. The song is really emotional. She wrote this and her other song 'Gone' too. The message revolves around her life, looking back at her old self (her reference of 'you and I') when life may seem to be more simple. Then to her current status wherein she's now really successful but realizing all that she needs are not those things but those she misses through her normal life, her family, friends, their love and support - being grounded. There's this part in her video wherein she wrote her name 'Rosé' her present self and then it changed to 'Roseanne' her real full name pertaining to her 'old self' she probably misses. So 3 out of 4 members have already released their solos. And as far as I can describe, they each well represented their image as well as able to put in something about them on a personal level. Jennie's SOLO = is a breakup song but it also tells about how she wants to shine brightly. She trained the longest among the 4 and was also worried if ever she would debut or not despite all the hardships she have gone through during training. Also, she participated in every aspect of her song. From choreography, lyrics, music production, the set, the visual, the outfit - everything. She showed her abilities and skills and talents from rapping, dancing, and singing as well as a little acting. And I guess she wanted to show all of that on that song. Rose's ON THE GROUND = is a song bout realizing that whatever you have achieved, you'll always gonna look back on where you started, where you came from. It added some twist because, in the lyrics, she may have been talking to someone from her past that when she blew up and became famous as an artist, she realized and misses that person. Rose's GONE (which I am looking forward to you guys reacting to) = is literally a break-up song. However, we don't know if she really had someone in her past that inspired her to make that song or maybe it's just a showcase of her ability and forte. Lisa's LALISA = is a song about herself. Everything about her - heritage, origin, experience. Lisa's MONEY = is a song about being rich. I mean yeah, about money. --- From all of these, it showed Jennie's SOLO = her image as a classy elegant chic with a soft and vulnerable heart but also a strong woman. Rose's ON THE GROUND and GONE = her image as the "artistic" indie and innocent girl who has a deep sense of lyricism. Lisa's LALISA = her image as the fun and outgoing cool lady with a powerful badass attitude and swag. Now I'm looking forward to Jisoo's. Now this one is tricky. She is really fun and cute and has that 4D personality. She is really unexpected. You may see her as not on par with the other 3 but she has improved her dancing over the years. She has decent vocals with a unique deep tone! And she just started to show a little bit of rapping to one or two songs from their album. Jisoo's image is partly soft and savage - like Jennie. She is also fun and cool like Lisa. And she is also innocent and artistic like Rose. But her unique trait is that she easily ADAPTS and LEARNS which makes her SMART and FRESH. Her forte is acting as she had appeared in a Korean series on Netflix titled "Arthdal Chronicles" and now she will star and lead in a new Korean series titled "Snowdrop". It was winter weather when they filmed this video. Imagine wearing that skimpy clothing and having to run in the cold. She also said that they hid some heaters in the flower field to help keep her warm. If you watch the back scene video, the crew members were wearing thick jackets.
