Valuable insight, I had mild rosacea that was helped a ton by eating whole food plant based. Still have some redness on my cheeks but I am happy with how much it has improved over the last couple of years :) Thanks Doctor K!

Thanks so much for this session, Dr Klaper. I have a rosacea and skin condition and my dermatologist also told me to avoid direct sun on my face. Another tip for people to use sunscreen with a high factor. I have one question, is there a link between rosacea and IBS as well as histamine in food? I also struggle with issues there.

I love to hear. Every aspect of a mine came all of a sudden.... Two months into the ketoginic diet Which eliminates Information in the body. Took my rosaea completely away, or at least there's no redness. I hope everyone dealing with this finds their solution.

My rosacea appears doing whole food plant base …. Plant base is not a cure all , I developed pre diabetes too on plant base

An low histamine diet helped me a lot, some people have histamine intolerance, some people have mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), both conditions worsen acne rosacea.

@@laylajohnson8899 first you want to follow an anti histamine diet and see if it helps. If it does you can research mcas and find a health provider. Most Mcas prescriptions and supplements are quite expensive and you have to experiment to see what helps you in particular. When My doc diagnosed me she started me with the diet first.

Would you please expand this topic to include care of aging skin? A woman who is a so-called "certified skin care professional" told my daughter (who is vegan) that at 35 or 40 years old, a vegan will look 25 years older than meat eaters of the same age. She urged her to at least eat fish three times a week. My daughter will not do that, but she is extremely concerned about her appereance now. I'm 62, by the way, and I don't think I look 25 years older because of my WFPB diet. No, I do not look 87 years old! My skin is in great shape for my age. Thank you.

I have been enjoying a whole-food plant-based diet for over twenty years. I’m currently 43 years old, and am often told that I look like I’m 30. I recently had surgery, and after the anaesthetic wore off the nurses wanted to know how I kept my skin so fresh and youthful. I answered that I drink lots of filtered rain water, enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle, which includes plenty of exposure to the harsh Australian sun (I apply zinc based sunscreen when I go surfing), but the biggest factor is that I do not consume any animal products (except raw honey), and therefore my body doesn’t have to deal with the inflammatory causing fats that are in animal foods. So Sandy, please pass on my story to your daughter. I hope this will encourage her, and anyone else who may be reading this, to know that every organ of the human body, including the skin, can absolutely thrive on a plant-based whole-food diet.

I am now on a low carbohydrate diet with supplements which has helped my rosacea calm down. It still acts up and I can’t pin it down to what stimulates it again. I also had seborreic dermatitis on my scalp which tortured me for four years. This diet actually stopped the horrendous itching: however, my scalp is bone dry. I had hope it would heal once the itching stopped but no luck. Any suggestions on how I can treat the scalp for rampant dryness? Thank you for your videos.

Keep a food diary. Its invaluable in pin pointing the triggers. Also with the dry scalp try lots of nuts and seeds. They're packed full of omega fatty acids that really help. If you can tolerate it a cold hair rinse after washing really helps calm the skin and dont use high heat when drying.

@@britn333yhi, I know I’m Not the poster but what helped mine was testing for SIBO and IMO and getting treatment for it. I also eat whole foods and avoid dairy, gluten, and oats. Oats caused a lot of the redness for me
