Same here. In all my google searches on going through menopause I have never seen this information. Makes me appreciate Dr. Klaper even more than I already do.

This is my exact question. I am not overweight and I am very active. My stomach is not pudgy, per se, but it is also not completely flat and I cannot figure why!! He gave a compelling response.

Very informative, thank you. I didn't know about the role of subcutaneous fat in providing estrogen to the post-menopausal woman. It does make me see that fat in a more friendly way! Also, great to get a confirmation that to reduce visceral fat, cut out flour products. This was a recent revelation for me. I knew already to avoid added oils and of course all animal products and highly processed foods.

flour products - ? - also grains as OATS, rice, quinoa, seeds , millet, fara, dinkel wheat, whole grain bread . . . . . . . ? Will gram flour, lentil flour and oat flour be good - or? Any article on this anywhere?

Rice banana and coconut sugar and I can't loose weight Love dattes too ... but it's doesn't help...

Very good info. But Humans are rather more Frugivore than Herbivore, we can´t digest cellulose as well as fructose. Fruit is the most optimal food for humans in my opinion!

I got fat after I went vegan, and continue to struggle. I use to mostly eat meat and vegetables, and was always lean and muscular, now I only eat carbs and vegetables but have become fat and soft. I don’t eat bread and I don’t eat sugar or processed food, and I also only use coconut oil. I’ve never struggled with my weight in my entire life until now.

Coconut oil is a processed food 🌱. It's not just about what we eat though, it's also how we move, moderate exercise everyday, with intense exercise a couple of times a week.

You should cut out coconut oil, it's very high in saturated fat. Apart from that, try out cronometer.com and count your calories. If you eat less calories, you will lose weight.

@Muse Haven agree. These are key. Need to go SOS Free (salt, oil sugar). Need to eat leafy greens, veggies. Beans, legumes, whole grains, potatoes will keep you full and satisfied. If need to loose weight skip the nuts and minimize even avocado. While very healthy they are high in fat and calories. Add them back in when maintaining weight.
