For this Met, Rosalía opts for an all-black, literal interpretation of “Sleeping Beauties.” While personifying “the darkness before we dream,” Rosalía wears a stunning wool and silk Dior dress as well as a masterful Stephen Jones netted headpiece that subtly twists and turns around her face.

i love Rosalia's interpretation of the Sleeping Beauty theme. to me, when i think of Sleeping Beauty, i don't think of dreaming. i just think of someone trapped in semi-death bc she is still able to be awakened, but is essentially dead for all intents and purposes. so the black outfit communicates that feeling of the darkness of sleep, and also has a funeral element to it. love

Para los que dicen que Rosalía no estaba acorde, les cuento: la temática de la Met Gala consistió en honrar el paso del tiempo sobre piezas históricas y su convergencia con las nuevas tecnologías, así como su relación con la naturaleza. Rosalía lleva una reinterpretación del icónico vestido Ciseaux de Christian Dior, diseño del año 1949, y además utilizó un velo hecho por el mismísimo Stephen Jones, una leyenda de la moda con 40 años de trayectoria, cuando ya son pocas las que asisten a la Met con headpieces.
