Listening to Ren & Sam Tompkins - Earned it /Mans World / Falling with The One Sing Smart Piano

Ren & Sam busking together was mostly pre-Big Push & the videos are a little less refined. If you haven't heard the story - Ren, altho ill, returned to Brighton from Wales &, on days when he felt well enough, went out busking. One day he was returning home from busking & came across a young guy with a great voice singing acapella. He wasn't attracting much attention because his voice wasn't amplified. Ren told him that if he used his equipment & borrowed his guitar, he'd have a crowd in no time. Sam didn't play the guitar so Ren sat on the ground & accompanied him. Afterward he insisted that Sam keep all the money. Sam was 16 & Ren was 23 (?). You can see that day on Sam's song Time Will Fly because his friend, Connor Hunnisett, took pictures. Connor eventually became Ren's manager/producer/right-hand-man.

As you said, free of autotune, free of rehearsing to death to achieve perfection, this delivered raw beautiful art.
