Hamilton could have built a house with the space he had left on the OUTSIDE of the track - @ 1:45 - instead of turning-in on Rosberg. Nico was on the inside and absolutely entitled to go as deep into the corner as he wanted - as long as he left ONE car-width space to the outside - which did. Hamilton was nowhere near the edge of the track, and in fact, had TWO car-widths space (his own, plus another) when HE turned his steering wheel and HE deliberately crashed into Rosberg. Hamilton lost the championship, so he go what he deserved.

I don't see how this is a debate. If you watch the onboard replays, you clearly see Rosberg going so deep into the corner to try and push Hamilton out. 1. Brake problems don't cause your steering to stop functioning. 2. Before you say anything about understeer, take another look at the footage. Lewis was even faster than Nico when he turned in, so Nico could EASILY have turned in at the right moment, he wasn't going too fast. 3. The fact that Nico tried justifying it with "I was on the inside" just shows that he already knew the "braking problem" might not have been convincing enough, so he threw the "I can dicatate the corner"-argument in which is even dumber since Lewis gave him sooo much space and yet Nico still decided to turn in as late as possible. The only option for Lewis would have been to leave track, which is bullshit because he was already next to Nico before the braking zone, so Nico HAD TO give him space. Basic racing etiquette. Jeez.

I thought the same thing, especially after the crash in Saudi Arabia where Verstappen picked up massive damage on the rear tyres and the diffusor. it's a miracle how whenever Lewis crashes with another car, the other car is badly damaged and Lewis car only takes minor damage.

@@Paskal1 when I saw Lewis hit Verstappen I thought it was all over for Lewis and from the look of Toto wolfs reaction he was thinking the same. But somehow as always the car remains drivable. Or another example silverstone 2020 he gets a puncture on the final lap but manages to limps the car home on the rim just as Verstappen is closing in. I’m starting to think the guy sold his soul to the devil I have no other explanation at this point lol.

There are NO rules when racing, people. Get that into your head! Every accident is a 'racing accident'... Nico lost out :) But his effort to defend the corner was superb ;) He lost out because by just a split moment Hamilton started turning earlier than him and knocked off important bits of Rosberg's car. He could've drove straight on up to the line and if Lewis wanted to go by he could've braked earler and passed him behind and not infront. Great racing ;)

This isn't safety car where people have to wait behind you. What next? A slow car luckily qualified on pole and blocks the corner like a roadblock until enough time elapses there is only time for one lap and then blasts it to the end of the map to win? No that'd be ridiculous. Just as claiming Nico did nothing wrong. He saw Hamilton coming knew he'd be overtaken and so decided to head straight to the accident.

LeClerc was eheel to wheel with Max and the rules clearly state he has the right to a 1 car's width. Max simply drove as if LeClerc wasn't there, forcing him off track. The rules stated that during overtaking, drivers must leave one car width of space between his own car and the edge of track regardless whether you're going for inside or outside maneuvers. Hamilton was already on the edge of the track, he had nowhere else to go. Rosberg had plenty of space on the inside but was trying to push Hamilton off the track. Rosberg was definitely at fault here.
