Rose cane - polymer clay tutorial 100

A polymer clay tutorial that shows you how to make a very quick and easy rose cane that looks quite realistic.
All you need is a "rose color" polymer clay and a bit of white clay. I am wrapping the cane in this tutorial in white, but you can wrap it in any color matching your project or even in translucent for use on any background.

I want to thank you so much for this tutorial. My very first cane was this rose cane. I've since made a black rose cane with gold backing. I've made all kinds of things with polymer clay but dismissed any jewelry making for a while until I saw this and became fascinated. I also read through your blog a little. It's great to know another polymer clay artist is into Guild Wars 2. Best MMO I've played in a long time. My main is a Sylvari Reaper/Scourge, what about you? Thanks again!

Thank you. Oh I would love to see the black rose, can you send me some pics on the facebook page? Did you see the Dwayna necklace tutorial? I am trying to find time to do a Winter Wizard necklace for cosplay. I have practically two mains, depending what I am going for, both Reapers, one is a power Reaper the other one a condition/minions one. But I have 14 characters alltogether, I think, all brought to top. Only the Power Reaper though has fully Ascended stuff and max AR..

I will definitely send those to you. And no, I haven't looked at that yet, but it will be the next one I watch now. I would love to make more Sylvari inspired pieces. Maybe not just jewelry, but I have a whole Disney princess collection I'm working on, it would be cool to do a guildwars one as well. I love that both of your mains are Reapers. Definitely my favorite class. Have you tried any of the new classes? I have my Reaper equipped to do both. I'm still working on ascended stuff, Lol.

Unfortunately to my shame, since October I wasn't able to do much playing at all. Didn't even update my game for a month. With all the events with all my three pets being sick, and once they got better, having to fully redo my website, it pushed me behind on so many levels that I am still struggling to catch up. I'm almost there though. It's mostly because of my eternal fatigue that is a life-time side effect from the cancer treatment. I can only be active for about 5-6 hours a day, total, because I have to take frequent breaks. And I narcolepsy from time to time when the fatigue hits. So I couldn't keep up both with the polymer clay thing AND the game.

Yeah, don't feel shame in that. I haven't played since November. My husband and I started playing the new chapter in living world and then we went on vacation and just haven't gone back yet. I jump on every now and then, but I'm hoping to make time to do so more.
