It's insane that Rose was on track to being the first woman's strawweight champion before Joanna, only to lose to Carla. Joanna then won the belt by knocking out Carla and became, what many people see as the strawweight queen (due to the 6 title defences). Then Rose, who re-emerged just three years later to challenge Joanna for the title, was counted out by almost everyone, who forgot she had challenged for the title before. As we know, Rose quickly removed Joanna in that first fight to claim the belt she'd first attempted to win three years earlier. Bafflingly is the recent loss of Namajunas to Carla yet again in the double dose sleeping pill of a fight in their rematch, where the real losers were the fans.

She is a ridiculously talented wrestler but is a very mediocre striker. At the rematch I think at least at first Rose was afraid of being taken down and submitted like their 1st fight. Crazy thing is Rose has reached levels upon levels in all styles since then but completely failed to execute her new talents. Idk if it was all from fear of repeating the loss or multiple things. All I know is that if they were to go a 3rd time Rose should dominate. Unfortunately the 2nd fight was so bad I doubt they'll give her another chance against Carla. When Carla gets destroyed in the next fight I hope they let Rose fight Wei Li again. The last fight between them was so close that they definitely need to get at it again.
