Uematsu was an absolute master of video game music. Never once did he compose a dud, and even now, years after his beloved tracks were first heard, people are still making new versions of them. If that isn't a testament to the man's work, I don't know what is :)

WOOHOO!!!! I love Rose of May. I was still sad that Beatrix couldn't be a permanent Party member back then. When FF9 is remade, I do hope that she'll be playable. She's just so darn cool!! So many things I wanted to happen for the remake, so I hope that they'll make Beatrix a permanent party member too. That way, there will be 9 playable permanent characters, which would make sense for Final Fantasy 'IX."

Yeah! I vote for that as well. I nominate you as FF9 Remake Character Selection Director. Hopefully Square Enix reads this and hires you for the role... Anyway, I'm glad you liked it!

@ This only makes me want it to be done soon! I pray that they will release it after properly addressing all the janky issues and I’d rather wait than have it still be full of bugs and issues. Among the things that I kinda want them to fix are the mandatory mini games, like the Treno card tournament. There’s a lot of potential for it, but it’s a little more complex than Triple Triad, whose only annoying bit are the regional rules.

You should check out the current modding scene. There's a superb mod called Moguri that provides tons of improvements on the current game, including making Beatrix playable with new dialogue and cutscene integration. It's pretty much a little remake in and of itself.

To this day I can't hear this song and not hear Katethegreat19/Erutan's lyrics for it in my head... Great arrangement here, definitely sounds like something you'd hear at one of the FF concerts
