I grew up with Loretta Lynn. The first song I learned was women enough to take my man. I was about 7 years old. I have learned all her song since then. I saw her in Chattanooga TN in 1973. Then my husband and I went to see her in her hometown I believe around 1998. I love Loretta and her family. I even have her twins DVD I enjoy them too. But Loretta is my favorite of women singer's. Hang in there Loretta you still have a beautiful voice. God bless you.

When I was having husband issues I remembered the song you ain’t woman enough to take my man. I found out this woman that I thought was a friend was trying to get my man. Well I made sure she wasn’t. Lol and she didn’t. But I didn’t let him get away with it either. I left him. It wasn’t long till he was back and sorry. I told him if I ever hear any such rumor that it would be OVER!

What you see is what you get with Loretta Lynn. The more successful Loretta became the more independent she became . Patsy Cline taught Loretta how to dress, how to shave her legs, and got her to try makeup for the first time. Patsy was Loretta's only girlfriend when Loretta and Doolittle first went to Nashville. When Patsy's plane crash happened Loretta was devastated. Being friends with Patsy gave Loretta self confidence like noone else. Loretta's money and success never changed her. She never lost touch with her roots or and never forgot what it was like to be poor. She is so honest about her life and doesn't sugar coat anything. She believed in fighting to keep her man and wrote "Fist City, and You Ain t Woman Enough To Take My Man". Raised up with brothers the girls all learned to fight, and it was no exception to her Doolittle if he came home drunk Loretta would hit him if he hit her. It's sad that it took Doolittle so long to realize what a woman he had in Loretta. She could have left him many times but Loretta really loved him and I think he really loved her. Loretta said for many years Doolittle was like a Father and a husband to her. After Doolittle passed away Loretta took a break from her music for a couple of years until Jack White came to visit Loretta at Hurricane Mills for supper and he told Loretta that she had to much talent to not be singing. Shortly after Loretta Lynn and Jack White recorded Portland Oregon together and won an award for it.. Jack said Loretta Lynn is the best woman singer and song writer of the 20th century. I have to AGREE with him. I just love loretta Lynn

2 of my most favorite female entertainers on the same set. Totally awesome! I love that these two individuals tell it like it is. Each saying exactly what's on her mind in their own unique way. Loretta who never lost that endearing country girl innocence & charm and Rosanne for her brash tell it like it is and deal with it boldness that makes Rosanne .... well, that makes Rosanne - Rosanne! These two amazing women are so very much alike yet are so far different from each other. This world would not be what it is without them. Knowing that both are slightly older than I as I approach my 58th birthday this month (September) I know that one morning I will wake and turn on the morning news to hear that we have lost one of these great ladies. This will be a very sad day indeed. I am typing this as I look out the window at the smoke filled skies over Salem, Oregon and I am praying for all of those affected by the fires that rage out of control up and down the West Coast of this great nation of ours. We pray too for all those whose lives have been forever changed because of the Corona Virus. I myself have been directly affected by this virus as though separated for years now 4 of my adult children have lost their Mother & my Grandchildren their Grandmother to Covid 19. R.I.P Lori Lynn Young (Mears/Johnson) April 11, 1963 to March 24, 2020. You will be missed! Loretta & Rosanne were huge parts of Lori's life. Her first exposure (& ultimate love of) country music came at age 16 due to her constant exposure to my country music. I guess you might say I put the country right into the heart of that city girl (she had never even seen a goat up close until that very year) and Rosanne ... well let's just say that at times some of the unexpected things that unintentionally came out of Lori's mouth were as if she and Rosanne were sister's. I swear at times they even looked alike! 2020 has thus far just been one of those years that historian's will look back on and just say "wow"! We are praying also that our Government (or President Trump via executive order) will bless us all with a second $1200 stimulus payment to all Americans. With the wildfires that extra money, though such a small amount could make a huge difference in the lives of so many that have made it through this devastating disaster. Best wishes and regards to all from Salem, oregon. Daniel & Kael Johnson 9/14/20

There is a force field around this woman. She is one of those rare, special, unique, one-of-a-kind people that come here from "wherever" with the natural gift and ability to touch the human community in the deepest recesses of our heart and soul. All I can say is that Loretta Lynn was and always will be the queen of country music 🤣🎶🎸. I've heard from all people around the world 🌎🌍 saying nothing but great 👍 things about the queen of country music. She was such an angel on earth 💝🌎 and now she's an angel in heaven ❤️🌹👃💕. She will never be forgotten because of her amazing spirit. Her parents truly loved their children and they showed there love 😍❤️ for them. Her mama was truly from the Indian decent and and she instilled everything she had in her children. Her daddy was a man that loved his family and he would do whatever he had to do too support his family. He showed his love 😍❤️ for his family in every way possible. They were a family of love 😍❤️💞 and showed it in every way possible. Doo little knew that he had a beautiful wife but he just let alcohol control his life for a very long time, but over the years he finally regretted the way he treated his wife. He truly loved 😍 his wife, and kids. One thing you never heard about Doo little is know matter how much cheating he done there was no outside children lingering around. Loretta Lynn stuck by her vow's to death do us apart can't to many women have been as faithful as Loretta Lynn was most women would have left Doo high and dry because she was the one who brought them out of rags to riches. I believe Doo really regretted all that he put her through, and another thing Loretta never spoke bad about Doo too his kid's. Doo now you can get your queen 👑💖 back and live in eternity in heaven ❤️💞💯. There will never be another Loretta Lynn when God made Loretta he put that mole up high above with his Angels 😇😇. Thank you God for the time you let us have her, but now she's with you. R.I.P. Doo, Loretta, Jack, and Betty Sue.😇💞👃🌹🎸🌈👑💕👍.

Loretta is right about mountain people. You can't understand it if you've never been around it, I wouldn't call it shy exactly but you grow up very insular and I don't mean to say that as an insult. Those people can very leery of outsiders. My Memaw was the same way about things. When she talked about going to the grocery and stuff. I remember one time somebody asked my grandmother who she was going to vote for in the election, I think this the Bill Clinton era and she got SO mad. That was rude and nosy to her for somebody to ask what she thought was a very personal question. I noticed Loretta clammed up about the Mary Kay Letourno question. That's probably something she felt like she had no business talking about in public.

Loretta was 15, just 3 months shy of turning 16 when she married Doolittle. I don't understand why she continued to promote the falsehood that she was 13-14 when she got married and started having babies, when it's been widely known since Coal Miners Daughter what her true age was when she got married. She was born in April of 1932, just do the math. I love her, been a fan all my life, but a lie is lie, no matter who's telling it.
