Hello Scanner Danner! I want to thank you very much on a problem with my 2006 Ford Explorer and its pcm about 1.5 months ago I wrote that it was putting up codes with all 4 O2 sensors and and the EGR valve and also the purge vent valve all at once and the same time!! and you were working a similar case same as mine on the same vehicle! My question was should I get a new PCM, and you answered, that I should replace the PCM, Well that was done yesterday and YES that DID solve the strange problem!!!! No more codes being thrown, and no more check engine light so it will pass NY state inspection now!! I am very happy with the result of your suggestion so MANY THANKS to YOU for pointing me in the right direction with your suggestion to change out the PCM!! I cannot thank you enough sir!!! I am VERY HAPPY!! signed John A Bellas>

I had you check the 12v supply circuit first right? To make sure we didn't have a blown fuse common to all of those outputs?

My dad told me at 12 if you get a trade you’ll always eat . I went to a vocational HS where I’m from and I fell in love with automotive at a young age . I left the industry while I was still young but always remained in a technical field and everything I learned always helped me wherever I went . The older I get the more I love my father who was there to guide me when I was a kid . I love your channel you help me bring back so many memories of when I worked at a Benz dealer for several years . Those were great times and I’m still friends with a lot of those guys . As of now I just work on my own vehicles and my parents cars but I still love it .

This is part of my future dream. For someone like me who is a tech guy and considering the fact that we are not doing better in the auto industry in my country Ghana, West Africa. Its my wish for Ghana to have something close to Rosedale institute who's main focus is to bring the best out of youths who are willing to have the technical know how in their field of trade. Anytime I hear you mentioned Rosedale in your video I feel like tears about to roll down. I wish and hope one day my country will see change. One day the narrative will change. Thanks SD for encouraging people like me with your videos it really done me lots of good in my field of work. Though I started as a traditional mechanic but trust me your videos are gradually elevating me to a different status. Am now doing far better than those in the game for over two decades.

Sad fact of life that Schools were never given the funding to introduce this kind of skill training back in my high school days, wasn't until I got older and left school that I was lucky enough to get enrolled in several courses to learn woodworking, general trades work ( basic building skills ) but what I really wanted to get into they never had any courses here for a person to do such as mechanical, electrical, electronics, diesel, although in my working career I was lucky to have come across other things I also wanted to do like truck driving, forklift, delivery driver, but I find a person never stops yearning for more knowledge. Keep up the great videos #ScannerDanner aka Paul. cheers from downunder

If people are wondering about the future, I saw this about a year ago from Professor "Missy" Cummings of Duke U, Pratt school of Engineering: "There’s also going to be a huge growth area in the maintenance of any kind of computer system that has underlying AI in it, including robots. I think robot maintenance is going to be one of the biggest growth areas in the next 20 years. We cannot keep all the robots that we have right now working. And we’re not thinking about maintenance in a way that’s streamlined, that can pull from the resources of the typical socioeconomic class that’s doing maintenance now on regular forklifts. We’re going to have to figure out how education needs to change so that we can help people lift themselves up by their bootstraps." She doesn't realize that the auto diagnostics training is preparing these "robot" repairmen today. It's all the same, powers and grounds, inputs and outputs. Right now, outside of being in an industrial job, the most available place to learn to repair computer systems with underlying AI that control physical processes that will be in high demand in the future is learning auto diagnostics.
