By the way, the engine light will come up after 5 or even 10 minutes of driving not straight away since the fault has to occur several times before the ecu will turn the engine light on.

@@OldSoulMillennial Great video. I know it's old but I was wondering if you may have run into an issue similar to mine. I have a mazda cx7 2010. It's in immaculate condition and I want to keep it running. My problem is it goes into limp mode and throws up codes for the accelerator pedal and throttle body. I've tested and cleaned both. The problem is intermittent. If I turn the key ahead and let it sit there for a bit before actually starting it will usually work fine so I'm thinking it has something to do with spark generation. Does this sound plausible to you? I will be replacing the coils and plugs anyway but I just thought perhaps you may have had a similar issue. Thanks for any input. Cheers!

@@rickstinger7264 Intermittent problems are tricky. I would start simple. Id check the battery connection to see if its tight and clean. Then check electrical connections on the throttle body, accelerator pedal and easy to reach engine sensors. Look for any damaged wire or loom. I'd start there.

@@OldSoulMillennial Thanks for that. I actually took it to the garage (Crappy Tire). They said they cleaned the MAF sensor, cleared the codes and weren't able to find anything wrong. I said to them "I already did that". About 10 trips later it did it again. Hard to get good help these days lol. Anyway, I will be replacing the coils and plugs tomorrow. We'll see how that goes. I changed coils and plugs still misfire on 3. Better but rough when on highway. What is the problem now?

I would check the power coming into each of your coil packs. Sounds like your 2nd and 4th coils are misfiring. Or!!! I just had a fuel delivery issue where it caused a misfire feel and code. But pertained to my fuel injectors. Cleaned them and helped ALOT. Still think I have a vacuum leak somewhere that’s for this weekend!

@@KollynJ change spark plugs. If still misfires swap coils to narrow down. Stretch springs in coil packs. Use injector cleaner every other tankful. Also if misfires when cold check inlet valves, renowned for clogging up on inlet valves. Clean by hand or use CRC valve cleaner. Also redex in your tank keeps HPFP healthy. This and regular oil changes should resolve any misfire issues.

I am having the same issue; but the problem I am having is that Check Engine light comes on after the cars first startup of the day. The error says 4th cylinder misfire; but my mechanic and I move the spark plug & coil to another cylinder and we get the same error (P0304). Any help solve this annoying issue, would be appreciated.

Same issue here. I've changed my spark plugs twice this year (about 6 months apart). My cylinder 4 misfire code just went off yesterday. :'( why is it always this cylinder? bad injector maybe? @@nandosmith9927

Your video was good until you gapped the spark plugs. Take that tool and throw it in the trash and DONT EVER buy another one! For most car the spark plug pre gapped and there is no need to gap plugs. You will fuck the plug up and turning your fancy platinum or your idradium plug into a basic plug.
