I cut and styled a friend's Denki wig while they had it on. they completely trusted me (due to my extra experience with wigs cutting and styling compared to them and other friends) It was extremely daunting and I kept asking what they wanted, but they just kept saying "do what you think will look good" This is the height of fear when styling wigs.

Ahh this is most helpful! I've seen the up-and-down-while-cutting thing done before but didn't really know what was going on. Also: Curling the wig into your face! Awesome trick! This is extremely helpful, although I have a question! I've seen other people say you have to wash them after you get them; is that true? Or can you go straight into styling and wearing it like you did?

The only reason people wash them first usually is to help remove the shine. Ngl I've only ever washed 2 wigs and that's because they were old

Are there some wigs that can't handle the heat though, because the plastic just melts? I mean, I'm not sure but I don't want to accidentally melt the wig - w -

Yes but the important thing is to have hair straighteners that you can lower thr heat setting on. Start at the lowest and dont hold it on the heat and most should be fine. If unsure test a bit at the back first
