I actually just read the book recently and then watched the movie! I loved them both but in different ways! I like being inside Rosemary’s head in the book and I also felt like it kept you guessing more than the movie did. But Mia Farrow is amazing in the movie and it just really worked for me! The most villainous for me would be the husband first, then both of the doctors.

booksandbrews I agree! This is one of the rare instances that I couldn’t pick a preference for book or movie. Mia Farrow rocked it for sure. Her big eyes were something else. The score was really impressive to me as well. It contrasted with the silent scenes and made even those creepy to me. There’s something to the book though that’s hard to rival. It’s hard not to hate Guy for all he did. Hard choice.

That was a really thought provoking queston. I never asked myself that question. So, for me I think the most evil person is the one that was closest to Rosemary. Guy is the most evil because he allowed the coven to "use" his wife!

Really enjoying your book reviews Jo. The film of Rosemary's baby has such a creepy atmosphere, it is one of the very best horror films. Not read the book yet, but I am a fan of Ira Levin's book A Kiss Before Dying which is an awesomely plotted mystery thriller which I love.

Hey there just watch the review. Very nicely done. In regards to your question about who do you think is the biggest villain: while you do make a great argument for Dr. Hill, I’m still going to go with her husband Guy. He basically gave her body away without her consent, continuously lied and gaslighted her. Guy should’ve been her strongest supporter, and instead used her. Again you can make an argument either way when you have a book full of creepy characters, but Guy still gets my vote. PS, I also just read Son of Rosemary. It was terrible. It was almost like it was written as bad fanfiction.

Interesting review! I’ve never read the book or seen the movie but been wanting to for a long time. Maybe it’s time I read it! The audiobook sounds great but I think it will make the reading experience much scarier 😅
