41:00 another thing I notice is many of your opponents play their time like it's blitz chess and end up maybe missing moves they might have seen if they took more time. I say this as a low rated player that does the same thing.

I think the most instructive thing about this series is Eric always having way less time than his opponents. His opponents always play too fast and miss basic tactics. Eric doesn't mind investing a couple minutes to find the knock out blow.

Almost blew up your winning streak but excellent play thanx! 7:31 But you spend way too much time with moves like rook to C1 which is pretty obvious here even for a 1500 player like me. game 1 was a little interesting at first, when it was a sacrifice of time to induce over-extension but then ...Nh6; h3, Nf5?; N:f5, ef:; e6!, Rc5?? was just insane. Who can guess what Black was thinking, but it was clearly a loss of focus.

@thethinker38888 ай бұрын
37:53 "Oh I also have Nf2" Here's the thing. If you're gonna go Nf2 to win material, why didn't you just take the rook on e4 earlier? If the justification for Nd3 instead of Nxe4 is that the knight is worth more than the rook, then the same assumption still applies. Nf2 now actually makes less sense because Nxe4 earlier is better as it splits the pawns even more.
