I just want to say how impressed I am that you would try making a skirt without a pattern as your first project! This isn’t a beginner garment, with the waistband, ruffles, etc, so it’s really awesome that you’d give it a try without instructions and pattern. if you score the edges of the a0 patterns as you fold with a plastic ruler then they will lay completely flat 🥰 no need to compress overnight!

You are just my absolute favorite. I want to buy one of your patterns so bad. I have been sewing for years but have never used a pattern before so I'm afraid it will be too complicated for me. The only garment I've ever made is a kimono. I am plus size so all patterns don't work for me. I may have to just go for it!
