Ase’, that’s a lesson we face daily Until we accept that there’s nothing More important than our health. Thank you for sharing Halona Sis-Star ✨💫⭐️.

Thank you for this!! I’m so anxious to leave YESTERDAY😂😂 Next month I’m getting my son’s passports now that I don’t need their father’s “permission”🙄 We are scouting! I’m so excited! I just keep talking about it. I can’t wait!!😝

Doggone it - missed the live! But happy to catch the replay 😀 Thank you, ladies!! EDIT: Had to come back (now that I've watched it all) to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this convo! From Halona's health journey, to de-centering men and centering oneself, to how ppl back home in the U.S. don't understand the new carefree type of lifestyle you've built for yourself abroad - AND how you can't keep putting off your move as your life & health may depend on it. Great discussion ladies, thanks again for taking time to share your experiences and growth with us! (And for pressing through the tech challenges, too!)

Yes I have been on this mindset for over 10nyears . Most Black folks in the US living traditional don't get it AT ALL. They would rather stay and "fight" .I'm like "fight for what?" to be disrespected, not cared for by our men ,and paid less .. they can have it .Bye Bye 👋🏾

My favorite KZbin content is Roshida Dowe & Stephanie Perry. 💗🌏…My Grannie taught me to put my health 1st then money. I take that to mean without heath you cannot survive to make money. 💰 My mom died at 35 partially due to our medical system here in usa not providing her proper solutions. God bless & rest in power Grannie & Mommie.

Halona thank you for sharing so deeply. Roshida thanks for continuing to give us these stories that inspire us to live our lives in spaces we might not have even known were available to us. As I listen to other black women the experiences resonate so deeply with me. ❤

Halona, this discussion is 100 💯. We are dying, our Sis-Stars are dying bc they’re addicts to this culture & food. You said the word! When doing this work, most of the time you Must isolate yourself until you become strong enough. You can’t go to happy hour w/friends bc you want to win & get to the other side of healthy eating. 👏🏾🙌🏾🤲🏾🫶🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥🦋

As a minority in the U.S., I can honestly say that I don’t want to live in a country where I’m a minority. Thailand 🇹🇭 sounds great but it’s not for me. 🥺♊️ 👩🏽 🌟 🌍

The most miserable I’ve ever been in my life was when I was married or in a committed relationship. ♊️ 👩🏽 🌟 🌍 Now that I’m single I can leave the U.S. without having to convince another person to come with me. It’s just me and my 2️⃣ cats. And they don’t need convincing. 🤭 🐈⬛ 🐈⬛ 🐾 🐾
