I don't get why people are so okay with being openly defensive and offended that she's on the show. Like cool her timing's bad, but her quips are funny. She's an accomplished comedy writer, she's written for this show among many others. Annoying comedy fans always do this thing where they will say "this person is OBVIOUSLY unfunny it's just the OBJECTIVE TRUTH all people disagreeing MUST be lying!" and then they'll pretend like just because they have a take that means it's the only take to have. Many other guests on the show are not even comedians and don't even say anything funny at all, no one seems to get into clowning on them, wonder what it is that compels people then to get so defensive about their dislike, hmmm.. She doesn't need to stay invisible in her career just for you to stay comfortable. So insufferable honestly.

There is quite a difference between writing comedy and live comedy. This applies to a lot of comedians. It is a different process writing something over time and having to instantly be funny in person. I remember Rosie from a few years ago and her "in - person" comedy and demeanor were different and in my opinion better. Don't criticize people because they don't find her un-funny. Humor can be quite subjective.

What's the reason you can't stand her? I don't think it is / should be terrible at all. I also don't find her all that funny / enjoyable (it often feels a bit forced to me), but don't feel as strong as you, probably. If you simply don't find her funny / enjoyable, that should be fine. I don't think she'd want anyone to "find her funny because of her cerebral palsy", as a kind of "charity funny-finding". My father was in a wheelchair (paraplegic) from when I was very young and, while certain practical considerations (like parking spaces) are welcomed and great to have, he'd never want something "outside of the disability" to be "judged via/through the disability".

I also find it hard to believe that so many people as seem to do really find her funny, that they're not just being polite, to the point that they're just patronizing her. I almost feel sorry for her, but then I think she's probably making a decent living because of her obvious, but also rather useful, disability. I think it's sad more than anything else, more sad even than it is annoying. But that's the world we live in now: everyone with a handicap has to be rewarded because of their handicap, not in spite of it.

Just pick your favourite comedian and ask yourself how funny they'd be if their delivery was slowed down like this and incomprehensible. In fairness, she does actually seem quite clever and has a decent remark sometimes, like the "Exactly" in regards to David's look here was a decent enough jab, but the longer her sentence is the more unfunny and just irritating it gets. It's not fair, sure, but that's life. With every illness/condition/disorder we also have to deal with how it limits some parts of our life. Someone with poor vision can't be a pilot and someone who speaks like that can't be a good public speaker or a comedian.

Maybe some of the laughter is patronizing, but plenty of it's genuine. A lot of people honestly enjoy her. There are other guests that some people find unfunny or annoying for various reasons.
