[about me]
Hi my name is Rosie, I'm 26 and my life is a bit confusing so i'm writing this lol.
To make it easy:
- I was born in Northern Italy, in the region of Veneto
- My whole family still lives there (mom, dad and my little sister Marty)
- I moved to Toronto, Canada, at 19 all alone to ✨find myself✨ (spoiler: it didn't work, i got more lost if anything).
So, I live half my life in Italy and half my life in Canada.
Also, my mom is from Moldova (country in Eastern Europe) and my dad is from Calabria (region in Southern Italy) and both my grandmas still live there. So you’ll occasionally see me going there as well.
I hope this clears things up a bit.. or maybe makes them more confusing lol.

Congratulations, Marty, for surviving the once-in-a-generation Canadian Arctic storm! You have stories to tell your children. Rosie, so thankful you made it to Pearson and back during the height of the storm. There were many accidents and the police had closed roads and advised everyone to stay home or risk getting stranded. You have the true, brave spirit of an adventurer. Rosie, I thoroughly enjoy your videos. I am a daughter of an Italian mama, mama, Angela, and when I watch your videos, and all the food you eat, this is how I was raised with all those beautiful Italian traditions. I think you’re brave and bravo to you beautiful Rosie for going all by yourself to Canada, which is basically the United States and living there and trying to find yourself. That is super brave. I mean I was born in California but my first language was Italian. I didn’t get back to Italy until I was like in my mid 20s. I went as a little girl, but I don’t remember any of that. But anyway, I love your videos. I’m laughing at your little sister as she is just eating all the junk food that makes American so fat. Try not to get her to hook to that stuff. Italians cook healthy. They walk a lot. Most of them don’t get too fat because they’re so busy walking all over the place cause they don’t have cars. Anyway, I just love your channel. I can’t wait to see how your family cooks all the fishes on Christmas Eve next year. I really miss that tradition since my mom has passed away. I don’t do it because I don’t want to do all the work. Italian cooking is a labor of love and a lot of work.

I’m Aussie and I think I would quite literally die if I went to Canada in winter. I get blue lips just by being in the swimming pool too long in summer lol. I hope Marty passed her tests at schools. Ever since you mentioned her struggles at school and how much work she has to put in I think about it often and feel so bad for her. Hi Rosie, your sister was very lucky that her flight was not cancelled. I was supposed to fly to New York on Dec 23rd and Porter airline cancelled my flight. For your mojito, you made it exactly as you should except all you needed to do was make some simple syrup to add to it. All simple syrup is is sugar and water, equal parts. So for One Cup of sugar you use One Cup of water, you heat that up slowly in a saucepan until all the sugar is dissolved and then set the syrup aside to cool down for later use. You can use it for any drinks or cocktails you want. Your mojito looked amazing just make simple syrup next time for the sweetness.
