@jsprivateclasses Жыл бұрын

I didn’t say it was unexplainable. I have lived in Alsace most of my life and in my experience, although there are many bilingual people here, those without a trace of an accent in both French and German are very rare. As for polyglots in general, they usually are quite capable of mastering multiple languages reasonably well but to pronounce all (or most) of them correctly isn’t commonplace at all. They usually retain a strong native accent from their mother tongue. This has to do with the ability to “hear” which is distinct from the ability to “speak”

I loved listening to them speaking Korean! My mother did not teach me her native tongue, but I've heard Korean my whole life so I could follow along and understand what they were saying. They're pronunciation sounded great to me. I really enjoyed this video!

I loved watching this! What the Brazilian girl said about how one language can start to take over another--that's what happens with me! I can start trying to practice talking in Spanish around the house, and before you know it, I'm remembering German or French words😆, and blurt them out instead! This is very encouraging for me to continue practicing the several languages I've been learning over the years. Thanks to both of you!🥰

I love watching videos like this, when I went with my friend to Peru, we talked in English with Americans and other nationalities and in Spanish with Peruvians and in Portuguese between us, after a week, we were talking in all three languages among ourselves, we spoke the word that came to mind first, it didn't matter the language, it was an interesting experience Adoro assistir vídeos assim, quando fui com meu amiga no Peru, conversamos em inglês com americanos e com outras nacionalidades e em espanhol com peruanos e em português entre nós, depois de uma semana, estávamos conversando nas três línguas entre nós mesmos, falávamos a palavra palavra que vinha à cabeça, não importava o idioma, foi uma experiência interessante

I speak 4 languages and I'm learning my fifth and I loved the video. They spoke all the languages I study😂 It was also really cool to notice who their accent in English changed after switching between languages. That fenomena happens to me in all language I know. And when I learn a new language, all my languages are affected (for example, I forgot how to pronounce English words that are literally french words after learning french) Pro tip: when you're learning a new language and trying to fit it into your brain, make sure to what videos in all the languages you know regularly.

It is such a joy to listen to the girl on the right because her language skills include colloqial expressions and it seems that the languages just flow out of her mouth. I have spoken to some polyglotes throughout the years. Some call themselves polyglotes because they speak 10 languages on comparable B2/C1 level. But she is definitely on of the few "real" ones. (I grew up with four languages - Chinese, Korean, German and Spanish and developed some Arabic skills).
