Julia and Miguel some kind have a similar “vibe”, but she is more energetic while he is more polite, and this pretty much could exemplifies the major difference between the "personality" of this 2 countries (Brazil and Portugal). They look somekind of cousins to me and both represents a lot their respective countries when they're together. Hope to see them along more times, they are very charismatic.

This was a very fun show. The Welsh really threw me, especially when she spoke English so clearly. But then once she said Welsh, it made sense. The girl from Australia was a surprise as well. I heard the Mandarin, but then when she spoke Aussie English it was a treat. The polyglot hosts were fun, and they hid their skills well until the reveal in the end of each interview. Kudos.

In France, I believe the choices we get for learning a second language mostly depend on where we live in the country. My friends from south-east of France could choose between spanish and italian but not german, wich make sense as they live closer to the Italian border. But personnally, living in the north-west of the country, I could choose between spanish and german only. I think spanish is the most studied language in France after english, it is a pretty useful language worldwide for sure.

This was a great video. The three regulars playing are fun, and all the guests are top notch, keep their phone numbers on file. Both Katherina and Mikaela were very easy for me to understand. When Mikaela said "cancion", I knew it was Spain. Spain Spanish was apparently the language I made a poor attempt at learning in high school. It's a guess with Katherina, but she sounds southern German to me, but maybe only because she tried to speak softly. Also, very cool you were able to find someone that speaks Welsh. I had a feeling where it was going, but I thought she might be Irish at first, because she pulled off an American accent in the first little bit she spoke, and Ireland has an area where the people sound like they're from the US.

Southern German dialects are the harsh ones.

@@EddieReischl There are objective factors though. When people say that German sounds harsh, they usually refer to the "R", "K" and "CH" (ach) sounds. Southern German dialects *factually* have more of these sounds. There's absolutely nothing about her that gives even a hint of Southern German.

Holy smokes, Miguel's German sounds amazing. He really does sound like a native speaker. Can't say how well the other languages are pronounced, but the fluency is certainly impressive. Even the languages they seemed less proficient in, they speak damn fast!

They didn't. They just kind of pretend, at least the ones who understand the language. So that they surprise the guests at the end.
