This is an "Absolutely Gorgeous" 70 Chevelle SS 396 - "L" Code with build sheet, that has undergone a frame off restoration, done in its "Show Quality" factory (Code 28) Fathom Blue with white strips, base coat clear coat, sanded and wheeled smooth, new tinted windshield; all other glass is original factory tint in excellent condition, new weather stripping and window felts, original window stainless moldings in excellent condition, new side new mirrors, new door handles, new emblems, original grill has been reconditioned in excellent shape, original head light bezels in excellent condition, re-chromed front bumper, new wheel well moldings, rear bumper has also been re-chromed.
Factory rare Bright Blue bench seat interior which has all been redone, original dash pad, original instrument cluster in excellent condition, nicely updated with direct-fit AM/FM/Cassette radio, original SS steering wheel, new headliner, new sail panels, new package tray with factory speaker grills, new front and rear door panels, rare vinyl and cloth front and rear seat cover's which have been replaced, factory front and rear seatbelts, carpet has also been replaced, custom floor mats, new sill plates.
Under the hood we have the original 396, 350 horse which has been completely professionally rebuilt, larger cam, heads have been re-worked for NO-Lead fuel, factory 4 barrel intake, factory quadrajet 4 barrel carb, chrome valve covers and breather, updated with PerTronix electronic ignition, heavy duty radiator with correct shroud and 7 blade clutch fan, new belts and hoses, power steering, factory power front disc brakes, factory exhaust manifolds into 2 1/2 inch dual Flowmaster exhaust out the back with correct bell tips, new front suspension; also F41 suspension package, this strong running 396 is backed up with its original 400 turbo trans - which has also been rebuilt, 12 bolt posi rear end - Code CCF with 331 gear, boxed control arms and rear sway bar, new fuel tank and sending unit.
Rides on a set of factory original SS wheels 14x7 all around with 225/70/14 BF Goodrich TA Radials.
