I have this rifle.. got it about 45 years ago, it's only had about 100 rounds put through it. Still in mint condition, love this gun.

My mom left her 62 . Never been shot I want to run some down the pipe. Should I or not ?
@stoegerstewie83518 ай бұрын
@@phatboybob5274I would absolutely do it. Just do it. It will only end up with a collecter that won't touch it but will get it cheap. Or end up with a flipper that will make a big profit to buy more flipping merchandise 😅

That is one sweet rifle. I got the carbine version (16.5" barrel) in 1982 for $125 at Karnival Sports in Brooklyn, NY. Everything you say about this rifle is spot on. I put a sling swivel clamp on the magazine tube and a stud in the buttstock for sling carry. Overall length of mine is 32.5" and it's a slick gun. Easy takedown (the screw is captive so it won't fall out) and shoots S, L, LR interchangeably and has no disconnector so you can hold down the trigger and it will shoot as fast as you pump. I've shot everything from CCI Stingers to CB caps without issue.The half cock safety makes it challenging to lower the hammer on a loaded chamber. To date have put over 20,000 rounds through my Rossi 62 SAC with no problems. That's why these were such great durable Gallery Guns. This rifle just screams nostalgia, it's a true classic copy of the Winchester. I've read that the Taurus clones have problems and are LR ammo only and have a safety on top of the bolt. My Rossi is accurate and smooth, holds 11 LR rounds and 15 shorts. Not bad for a little rifle. Great video of a good gun. Fuhgeddaboudit!

I love the look of these rifles. My grandfather had a Browning pump .22 . I used to hold the trigger down, and it would shoot as fast as you could pump it.

I have one exactly like yours, I wish I knew when it was made. Some of these have the Rossi logo on the side mine doesn't. Mine was given to me because it wouldn't eject the shells, I cleaned it good now it works perfectly and it's a joy to shoot.

Nice pump action as I have not shot a pump action .22 in over 20 years or so...Good stuff...

THANK YOU for your informative and interesting video. I recently purchased one that just has 22lr stamped on the top of the octagon barrel, which I think is REALLY COOL. I'm wondering if the Rossi was ever able to shoot shorts and longs besides 22lr. When did they change to just 22lr?!!!😉😆😀

I have had my model 62 for quite a few years. My only problem with it was sometimes it wouldn't eject the casing, causing a jam. It happened a lot with shot shells, so I gave up on them with this rifle, but happened occasionally with normal LR rounds. I probably should pay more for better ammo...
@martyjewell56836 жыл бұрын
trut, shooting too many short cartridges may tend to cause sticky extraction of LR cases. Clean the chamber good and avoid using shorts.

That is a cool 22cal. Thanks for bringing it out. If its accurate - it probably wasn't used a carnival shooting gallery. :>))) Ah if it came via Interarms (no longer around) then it probably wasn't at a carnival gallery.

Looks like a miniature M1897 shotgun. I wonder why Rossi discontinued these. I have heard nothing but good about them.
@BATJACJW8 жыл бұрын
Wish they did still make this rifle.
@chaseww3 жыл бұрын
They discontinued him probably because of cost and most of these gun manufacturers today are made in cheap China Winchester Remington actually out of business but it's just cost Factor they can't produce a rifle unless they make money off of it. Things just today cost way too much and so throw away world

Wait until you have a grandson. Then you look one day and you own the Pump, the Lever Action. the Bolt. the Auto and your old Auto that was your sons and your old single shot. Also then how much into it that you are, and how much fun it. I said you own. Should have said, Grandson owns!!!! You own the time with him. The best part of it all.

Why not buy an original Winchester?
@curtrn5 жыл бұрын
I own both. I prefer the Rossi, it's in better shape and frankly shoots better. You can buy an old worn out Winchester or a Rossi in fine condition for less money. That's the main reason. I never could get my money back on the old worn out Winchesters.
