I just bought one of these from academy a week ago and took it to the range to zero in a reflex sight I bought. I got alot of compliments on it and 3 guys ended up going to academy to get one too. The grouping was insane for being right out of the box and speed shooting. My buddy got a new 9mm carbine sbr and my little 22lr got more compliments. Fun to shoot and you can put it to work vs having a golden boy just sitting because of it being pretty.

@@TheHide Do you have any thoughts on the R92 in 357 caliber. This is one that I've been thinking about buying, it's just that here in Canada, their prices are right up there with some Henry's and even Winchester! Update Oct. 15/21: I found and bought one, Rossi calls the model I bought the 'Triple Black'. It's a dream shooter. Right on the bean for accuracy. Smooth as the proverbial silk. HOWEVER my rifle stumbles sometime when trying to load up 38 Special cartridges. ( So, I just single load each one. ) besides more fun ( and yes, more money too ) to shoot with the .357's. Is their an explanation to why all .22 lever action rifles are loaded strangley? I orefer the side gate but does not seem to exist on .22 and im curious the reason? I love loading lever actions through side gate and imo the way all these load from the barrel makes it seems flimsy and more like a BB gun kind of loses that awesomeness that i love so much. Is the bullet too small?
@mkshffr4936 Жыл бұрын
The loading gate puts a fair amount of torque on the bullet. My guess is that the tiny heal base bullet might not hold up to it.

Ill be honest I've never shot a Henry so I cant speak to how it would stack up. What I can say is that I have about a 1k rds of various ammo through this rifle and have only ad a failure to fire and I think that was due to a bad cartridge. You haven't bought a Ruger or S&W lately...an Ithaca or Colt...? every manufacturer, every one of them, has let lemons sneak out the loading dock...if the gun has moving parts (pretty much all of them) it is subject to failure, that is the simple nature of the beast...I'll grant that 79 cent parts should last longer than 49 cent parts, but even then that cannot be gaurenteed...
