In the 90's I was on a small boat heading to a small Indonesian island. The boat got boarded during the night. There were 4 x Swedish ex soldiers on board who were all 6 foot plus and big guys, that walked right up to the pirates and just stood in front of them. The pirates weighed up the situation and left.
