When i first started playing Chaos Campaign, i had hoped that we would see Araghast return to lead the Black Legion, since he was so badass in Chaos Rising. But i was one of those people who were disappointed when i realized that i will be playing with Eliphas instead. He was cool and all in Dark Crusade and Chaos Rising, but i really hoped that they would do Araghast justice by bringing him back, and make Eliphas have his due for pulling a Sindri on him. And i dunno if it's just me, but Eliphas kinda looks ridiculous in terminator armor in comparison to Araghast, that horned helmet makes a world of difference with the armor as a whole. Oh well, thank god that a mod community exists. A helmet mod and dialogue portrait change and that's the closest thing you get for playing as Araghast in Retribution :D

Something that is a bit of bad writing on the part of Retribution is a bit of a plot hole. Eliphas thinks Kyras is a loyalist... um... Kyras introduced Avitus to Eliphas. "But then after the Tyranids when Kyras contacted me again and told me to supply information to an ally of his. Named "Eliphas". Then Abbadon tells him that Kyras is going to offer up the Blood Ravens to Khorne and he still thinks Kyras is a loyalist despite what has been told and past history. Hell, in the Space Marine campaign he literally taunts Apollo that Kyras is using him and then in Dark Crusade Eliphas taunts Davian "I won't listen to your lies heretic" "Then I won't lie to you brother you've been lied to enough" so what in God's name happened with the continuity? Like people have said that Eliphas just forgot and didn't care but that's just bullcrap. He should at least care that Kyras is trying to usurp Abaddon. Kyras is bad on this part too he doesn't even go "Hey Eliphas remember when we conspired together to ruin the sub sector?" It's been ten years I know and time is different in the warp but I think Eliphas would at least remember something as important as the Chapter Master of the blood ravens being a chaos worshipper. Eh, bad writing aside they're both awesome regardless.

The fact that Kyras was a psyker and was serving Khorne(Khorne hates sorcerers)instead of Tzeentz doesn't bother you?

@1974GreekTiger Kyras isn't a Sorcerer, he's a Librarian which is not the same. Librarians murder things with the power of the warp as harnessed by their minds, Sorcerers use arcane knowledge such as runes, words of power to sort of steal the power of the warp to murder things. While Khorne prefers his followers to murder things with their bare hands, he would not be opposed to someone murdering things with their mind. Remember, Khorne is not a particularly picky god as any blood shed in his name pleases him. Also, Kyras instinctively barely uses any of his Psychic abilities at all in Retribution and goes full on melee with warp fire on the side in his boss fight. Also, what does that have to do with what I just said above?

wow i didnt realize that! speaking of DM, the most amazing SW charachters seem to be butchered by the WORST movies of that franchise! The prequal wasnt good (SW4), it butchered DM, and also Luke was butchered by that crappy trilogy. The only good ones are the 3 old movies, mandalorian and clonewar animation is ok

yes indeed. This is the case of GW milking the cow multiple times :) he is ok though i guess, especially in comparison to boreal and diomodes

The Black Legion are made up of several different Traitor Legions like the World Eaters, Death Guard, Emperor's Children, Word Bearers etc. The Black Legion accept all into their "care" so long as you make the suitable sacrifice for them and for Abbadon.

Iskandur Khayon, a founding member of the Black Legion and one of the few to find Abbadon after the Horus Heresy, was a Thousand Sons sorcerer, who was on good terms with Ahzek Ahriman. Iskandur is known to have said one of the reasons people join the Black Legion is unity: where other warbands fight Each other in the name of the Dark Gods, Abbadon leads his Legion to strike against the Imperium, even allying with other warbands to do so. He also mentions that Abbadon does not care of the person's origins or which primarch they have, so long as they serve the Legion. This is rare amongst Traitor Legions. The Iron Warriors are likely to kill traitorous members of the Imperial Fists successor chapters, the Thousand Sons won't even entertain the Idea of having a former Space Wolves (they also don't let much non-Psykers in anyway) enter their ranks.
