Side note on the trailer. I believe you have to obtain a class A commercial license. I’m a truck driver myself dealing with weight. Number of axles and the length of the trailer. If you already have one you good. DOT scales will slow you done. Just a heads up brother.

Ok 1) don't put the fuel cell in the back. It's a guaranteed fire if the rear is hit. 2) just put spacers and or bigger wheels on it and you wont need to worry about it flipping.

Coming along great! Love the trailer. I know these trailers and 9k is a steal for that rig! That trailer is $11,500 new and from what I can see it has a minimum of $4,800 in add ons. The winch is $1,900 the steel decking with tiedowns is $2,000 and the wheels are $500 not sure how much the tool box is but. There are a few more upgrades also. Whoever ordered this did it right. It's been upgraded for medium duty use. I wouldn't use it daily for a business. But I would trust it to go cross country with no issues. The upgraded axles it has with the third 10k lb axle is great. You can safely haul 30k over the axles. Once you started talking about all the things you are going to add under the decking I was worried. Just remember to put the heave things from the middle axle forward. I'm stoked for you! Keep doing it for Dale!

Until Cleetus mentioned they were planning to put decking in between the lower frame rails to carry tires gear etc I was going to suggest welding in some triangulated bracing between the lower frame cross members to stiffen it up and keep any frame flex to a minimum, but I'm sure that will be part of the upgrade. Can't beat the price on that trailer though, I would have bought that for $9k in a hot second.

Chad Guenet - interesting. Could’ve sworn I saw a large chunk fly. I didn’t do deep analysis on a phone screen. It’s irrelevant to the point though, really. They’re still sitting on top of controlled explosions and parts spinning at high speed. There’s a reason they put ballistic blankets on superchargers, shield bell-housings and drive shaft tunnels etc... Just hope they stay safe, that’s all.

I didn't think personal conveyance weight didn't matter as long as the vehicle wasn't over GCVWR? How else can anyone pull a toyhauler with an RV? They easily go over 26000. I frequently go over weight pulling my equipment and or toys.

Depends what your hauling, big campers get a pass a lot, but hauling trailers like that attract attention of d.o.t. and comunity commercial police. Just to get a cdl you have to test with a trailer that puts you over 26000 combined.

Be extra careful of the weight of the trailer & truck combination when loaded, it it exceeds 10001lbs you need a commercial driver's license to operate it

That truck is 6500-7500lbs by itself. The trailer probably weighs another 2500-3000 unloaded.

Lol you're a trucker and you think you need a CDL to run a truck over 10k pounds? I was 19 when I opened my first business like this running a wedge trailer. I was under 26k pounds GCVWR and was legal with just a regular drivers license. But yes if his truck is rated 15k pounds and the trailer is rated for 15k pounds he would need a CDL even of the trailer is empty

It’s actually 26000, people would have to go out and get a CDL to rent a small moving truck. When they exceed 26000 , they can hire me to drive it for them. I’m sure they’re looking forward to the day where they can just send their crews ahead to set up their events and they can just fly there.

Could you extend the rear wheel base width putting the wheels on the outside of the fenders witch would make the burn outside look cooler and be safer. With that narrow wheel base and height first slide and he gonna be sitting on the roof
