It's crazy how something so simple doesn't even work for me. This pretty much summarise my entire blender experience.

0:52 I think it's just using radians as angles internally, so it's increasing the angle by 1 radian per frame. Thus if you want 1 full rotation to take n frames, you can just set the driver to #frame*2*pi/n
@Brandon-3D10 ай бұрын
Yeah I think you’re right. I think every three months I end up googling “Radians” lol. It’s over my head.

2*pi can also be written as tau - from wikipedia: In 2010, Michael Hartl proposed to use the Greek letter tau to represent the circle constant: τ = 2π. He offered two reasons. First, τ is the number of radians in one turn, which allows fractions of a turn to be expressed more directly: for instance, a 3/4 turn would be represented as 3τ/4 rad instead of 3π/2 rad.

@@jakereosti yeah in other contexts I might use Tau as well, but outside of circles that are at least somewhat involved with mathematics it kind of just leads to more confusion in my experience. but yeah #frame *tau/n is even more intuitive

Just learned this the other day, but was instructed to use #frame*(pi/180). I like the formula you posted better @rouvey, for when I know the number of frames and knowing I only want a full 360º. Am I getting this right?

this was super helpful! I just started out with blender a little while ago, and its been tough to find tutorials that are for newbies. BTW, is there any way i can easily be sure the animation loops nicely? im using this to make something sort of like a mini sun and the way the animation snaps back to the initial frame is.... annoying

Or use key frame extrapolation to extend the motion indefinitely.

Hi. Will there be many subtitles, just like in their old videos? (Even English is enough)
@Brandon-3D10 ай бұрын
Yeah I’m sorry. I guess I haven’t been putting them on the last few. I’ll get them uploaded soon.
@Svanevej710 ай бұрын
You can turn on auto-generated subtitles (with or without translation) in Settings. I usually find that works pretty well.
@yasinvfx10 ай бұрын
No, the texts are not easy to read. The words come in fragments. I'm already watching with translations into another language from English. When there is non-automatic English subtitles, the sentence comes as a whole and is easy to read.@@Svanevej7

Cool. But please no cringe stock video/photo or begging for subscription - those a good reasons for me to do the opposite.
