Best thing about these lessons is NO TALKING, only illustration and demonstration.

My personal thanks - applying these techniques and those of the "locked metacarpus supple wrist" video in 20 minutes has already made an unbelievable difference.

Your videos are always so instructive. Thank you sir. I'm constantly plagued by unnecessary stress and inaccuracy in my playing and this type of content helps me immensely. I've memorized Chopin's Etude Op 10 no 2 and now begins the long journey of learning to play it relaxed, light and fast.

Wszystkiego dobrego w 2021 :)

The best tutorial on Op 25 n 12. I am improving my practice on this etude and this is exactly what i needed for the right hand. Strangely for me my left hand is natural and far easier in this etude and nearly at speed with dynamics ! But the right hand still has lots of improvement to make. I am left handed.

This is normal. Right-handed pianists have exactly the same problem with their left hand!

@@aw4piano I am glad to hear that, i thought i had developed wrong habits in my right hand but it's not the case, it's because i'm left handed. Your tutorial helped me tremendously after watching others that did not. Especially when you demonstrated both hands together stopping on each arpeggio or inside the arpeggio to secure the learning process. I couldn't do that first but now i am well advanced and memorized with this study that i can practice well that way both hands together. My main issue is i was not micro-positioning the right hand correctly and not following the right hand trajectory that you demonstrate (my left hand does it naturally). I get tension between the thumb and the hand (right hand only). After meticulous study i found the thumb must always play its key with the bone structure aligned and pushing slightly forward into the key. This maximizes muscle efficiency and eliminates fatigues and developing tension. I am doing exercises like pausing briefly and back bending the thumb by itself just before playing its note (up arpegios only) to teach the brain the right technique. Also transfering the hand weight from fifth to thumb finger equally. It's been helping to not get tension in the thumb. I've compared the score left and right hands difficulty (which can be done by mirroring by symmetry on the keyboard but you have to change the harmony to get the same suite of black and white keys and stretches). The right hand has slightly more hard arpeggios in the study.
