Thank you for posting the second half so quickly. Viewing these engineering wonders always makes me respect the effort in the design. Solving most issues were often simply correcting previous well intentioned "improvements".

briliant video, and done with such ease! The correct tools make the work so much easier. Dont know who he is but a great tuitor as well as a great technician, rare to be both!

Excellent presentation, great detail. One question, are these various tools such as the flywheel puller & wrist pin puller only available from Rotax?

Hello sir. Thanks for awesome video. I just ordered your dvd set. One of my coils or magneto not firing . Trying to diagnose. I know to ohm out the coil. Can you tell me how much voltage does magneto send to the coil and how much the trigger wire send? Also, how many ohms are the primary and secondary of coils supposed to measure if in good condition? I have Rotax 582 engine. Thank you in advance

It’s shocking to me how many little issues show up with only 60 hours of use. Worked on many Rotax engines in Sea-Doos and similar issues cropped up. Never saw the same frequency of issues with the Japanese watercraft. Any ideas why?

Thanks for the video.What engine oil do you use or recommend for the rotax 503 on an airplane?

Having a heck of a time getting the water pump cover to seal on a 582, any tricks on gaskets or torque values?
@johnbaskett23094 жыл бұрын
Well done although it should be mentioned that major leaks in the crank seals, crank case, base gaskets or rotary valve cover may lean the fuel air mixture enough to cause piston holing and/or piston seizing.

Hello excellent video. What's a new crank cost?

Is it possible to replace the water pump seal without splitting the bottom case (can the shaft be pushed out)? And do you have a part number for the tool used to push the water pump shaft out? Thanks

You Sir, are the guy I would want rebuilding my engine. … as a matter of fact, do you have your contact information posted? I just picked up a 582 powered Kolb. Has about 150 hours on it. I may get it rebuilt a little early as preventive maintenance…. Thanks

That's one sketchy lil engine there. All of those roller bearings and rubber seals for 60hp? Seems like it has as many catastrophic failure points as ponies. I can see why ROTAX is phasing them out. Thanks for sharing the knowledge.
