Happy to find they give all cables you will need to test it out of the box, i hate running for cables when i have new product even though i have plenty cable at home.

Drives my Chord SPM1000b quite nicely via XLR and the PC USB DAC sounds very nice indeed!

Hello! I really enjoy watching your unboxing and product reviews. That's why I ask for your suggestion whether buying the Cambridge CXA81 Integrated Amplifier or the Rotel RC 1572 preamplifier + Rotel RB 1552MKII power amplifier. I already have bought the new Monitor Audio Bronze 500. It is going to be my first hi-fi system so I don't want to go wrong with a good quality audio between one or another option. Thanks a lot for your answer!
@TLPCHC4 жыл бұрын
I would go the Rotel way,
@TLPCHC4 жыл бұрын
Maybe consider the Rotel pre/power combo, it is a nice lift in performance. You also have the ability to delay buying one of the power amps (if the budget can't stretch to that amount straight away)

Thank you very much for your suggestion! Regards!

Big Question. I have a 24 year old Rotel Pre amp RC03. It has problem with the channel selector (nothing major) Thinking of getting this upgrade instead of repairing the old one. Will this pre amp make much of a difference to my current system that I have. I'm have 4 x Rotel RBO3s, and Bowers and Wilkins 604s. I am hoping it will make a difference in sound quality, what you think?
@TLPCHC11 ай бұрын
Yes - A better pre-amp will lift the performance noticably

Was the demonstration of cutting the packing tape and throwing of the contents, namely batteries, leads, cables, etc. really necessary?

The intro of: "Welcome to The Listening Posts unboxing channel on KZbin" Kind of says it all. We are going to discuss the packaging and open the box.

@@TLPCHC I think it was more the methodology of how you unboxed it! - Interestingly, no one asks any questions about how you unboxed it and questions are in fact related to the the unit. - I've been toying with this model to add to my Cayin stereo valve amplifier as one has become available second hand here in Perth, WA - My only reason being the occasional addition of bass and treble to the mix and the convenience of Bluetooth being combined in one box - It would also blend in with my Rotel RCD-02 cd player that I repaired some years ago.

It would be amazing if you start sound testing after unboxing👌😊❤

nice rotel unit , question how do you compare to parasound preamp p-5? please let me know thanks!!
@TLPCHC4 жыл бұрын
I thought the P5 was way more expensive than the Rotel? Obviously if the Rotel is cheaper, than it is probably a budget driven decision.

I have the rb 1592 power amp , do you think this preamp can be a good match aside from the rc 1590 .asking this because of the price range . It will be use more on music listening. Thanks
@TLPCHC4 жыл бұрын
The RC-1572 is pretty good, but the "match" for the big RB-1592 id the better RC-1590. www.listeningpost.co.nz/Products/Amplifiers/Preamplifiers/Stereo-Preamplifiers/Rotel-RC-1590-Stereo-Preamplifier-__I.130069__C.27293__N.27756

Thanks for the recommendation , My current preamp is the rc 1550 paired with the rb 1592, would like to upgrade with rc 1572 for two reason one is the blutooth function, second is the built in dac and the xlr connectivity. Sorry for my ignorance but is there a benifit of using the xlr over the rca. I know that rotel is not truly balance but in any case im hoping that there would be a benifit in it. Thanks. By the my speaker is tannoy xt8f floorstander, also using a cambridge dac magic plus. If money would not be a problem i want the rc 1590 and secondly we dont have this model in philippines. Thanks again.

@@TLPCHC thanks, sorry for the ignorance but is there a difference between xlr and rca connection. At the time being been using rc 1550 +dac with rb 1592 . If i atleast upgrade to rc 1572 pre would there be a huge improvement .thanks.

hi there i am looking for a warm preamp to match to watch my power amp which one with a phono ?
@TLPCHC2 жыл бұрын
Everyone wants a "warm" pre-amp / "warm" sound. That comes more from the speakers - but if you are in the market for a pre-amp, the RC-1572 will be fine. It is not a dry flat sound. Consider also an Atoll pre-amp, or if you stream an NAD C-658 streamer / DAC / Pre-Amp.

@@TLPCHC thanks I have a Cambridge c n x. N my speakers are full range mark audio 12 P Even with my old power n Nad it’s not a bad combination but the nad 392 is just a volume control I was told to get rid off it and warm pre , yes yr right the speakers should be the starting point but you can also add warmth

Does this version do mqa or is it just the new version that does it ?
@TLPCHC3 жыл бұрын
The current model does not support MQA. However in the new model MQA is via the USB input only.

Can you bypass DAC and use Pre Amp only?
@TLPCHC3 жыл бұрын
Yes - This is an analouge amplifier with a DAC (for optical, coax, Bluetooth and USB inputs). If you are using the Balanced, or Line inputs you bypass the DAC.

Looking for something to drive my B&W CM5 S2’s, each supported by an REL T5/i sub (2.2 setup). My Emotiva amp and dac are 8 years old now and I feel like the speakers have way more to give with the right stack (or the right integrated option)

We have some fun sharing these great HiFi products, and chuck about the accessories and packaging to highlight that people often take things WAY too seriously in this industry. Nothing gets damaged. We are just trying to be relaxed about these video's. The product is always cared for, the packaging... well not so much.
