I've got an Alhambra model 4P classical guitar from '89 that I like, though it could use a touch-up by a luthier at this point. Mine has small intonation issues, and the action is a bit high, but otherwise it's a good guitar. New ones cost about €600. They're still made in Spain, from what I gather.

My favorite nylon has got to be Yamahas silent guitar. It’s under 1k and plays like a beast. It’s also super nice to take on airplanes or in the car. I haven’t played a lot of nylon but the few times I’ve had to for a set list it has been great

nylon string quitars are a mystery!. to go safe Try and play Alhambra german spruce top. a lot cheaper than my Antonio Picado, Different sounds but Alhambra flamenco series sound very briight and are comfortable. and affordable. You gave good exemples of exercises! I dont know what is expensive for you but one of my cheaper nylon favorites is the Ibanez AEG50N-NT nice warm tones and good laying in hand :)

Nylon string - the new Ibanez Tim Henson nylon string guitars seem pretty cool and very affordable. I bet you could do a lot of cool stuff with that thing.

I would recommend you to test a Takamine TH90. It has a spruce top and a CTP-3 preamp. Maybe not the cheapest one, but very professional and versatile, for acoustic and electric environments. Thanks for the exercises, hugs from south germany...

Nylon string - check out Ellis guitars he does both steel and nylon I believe. Western Australian. Great great guitars. Not sure on price. But so nice.

Cordoba GK studio punches above its weight class. I actually have the guitar center brand nylon b/c I wasnt sure if I'd stick with it. For under 400 bucks its actually pretty great. Taylor makes a nylon spaced like steel string if you just want the sound.
