Thanks for this amazing tutorial. One of the best so far. (The best in rotoscoping). I can see that you are purely trying to teach and explain rather than showing off how good you are. Much appreciated.

Great tips there! Most of the tuts out there use HD, sharp looking, high frame rate footage and doesn't cover things like you do in this real life scenario footage. I'll just add two things: 1. Roto brush has "Freeze", so you don't need to rerender all the time. 2. Mocha (pro version, not AE) now has "Remove" features/module. It will help you a lot with the final part of the project - replacing the background. One more thing - I've never played with Maya, but I would love to see roughly how you matched the motion of the racquet there. Bravo, Jesse!

Jesse. you are one heck of an artist. Mad props. This is a rotoscope intensive one week clinic, not a video. Best I've seen and I have looked at a lot. Great communication style, clear, focused, all the necessary points without bland, time wasting repetition. Also, you teach how the program "thinks" and this is really valuable. Thank you and much more success.

Amazing tutorial! I love that when you have a problem you just make a script (if thats what it is called) that fixes your problem. Also your narration is great and it's great that you take time to explain how to generally have an effective workflow. You earned a new subscriber! Although I saw that you stoped making new videos.. why? :(

When you paint in the clothes, do you also animate the painted material to track along with the item? I'd love to see a tutorial on this subject alone if you haven't already done one.

How do I add the script? Just import it and drag it on the clip? Also, can I just mask my object's arm and place a green layer behind it? Then use a null object to remain with that masked area? And have that green "null" keyed out?

@BatchFrame10 жыл бұрын
Without any more info I can only guess that its something with pixel aspect ratios. If you are working with something like DVC Pro HD footage with a pixel aspect of 1.5:1 and then send a sequence with square pixels to Mocha, when you come back to your original sequence, you would have issues like this. Send me an email (contact@batchframe.com) if this doesn't help and I'll look into it more

I ask because I have to do the same thing that you're doing and remove the arms of several people on a background.
@NipapornP10 жыл бұрын
Quite perfect tutorial, Jessie( right?)! I always wondered how to get the hidden background back. Finally I know, thanks to your tutorial. Besides the brilliant explanation of this complex topic, I want you to know, that, even if I'm not a nativ english, you are quite clear to understand. I love listen to your speach without any "ahm", "uhm", "like", "you know"! A rarity on ytube and balm to my ears. You would deserve a lot of viewers, but unfortunately this topic is a niche, and not mainstream like "Amazing dancing Boobies", which deserves.... hmmm.... nothing?

Hi, I am trying to use Warptokeys script on AE 2015.3 and keep getting Error Code TCF-1. I have followed the installation instructions and it appears in the Windows Menu. The dialog appears normally but fails when I press the button. If I select the "Apply to Null" it does create the Null layer before it crashes. I am hoping that there is a solution because this script is just what I need! Thanks
