All I can say is... This is an Excellently Educational Video Even if your not doing a mustang II suspension, all the basics are there as well.

Got any vids on your steering linkage on your 48 build. I'm using a 28 inch flaming river colume and I'm having to go through the top of the frame to get to the rack, and miss the header
@rottersgarage3 ай бұрын
No unfortunately I do not have any footage on the steering, I usually use 3 u joints In all of the 50's trucks I've done. I try to run the column low to get under the header, and shoot past the tube to a heim on the rail, then down to the box. What engine ya runnin? That's obviously a big factor, but most of the small block Chevy's I've done with center dump headers or clipster headers work out for me with the 3 joints....

On any resto-mod over 30 years old you'll need bushings, springs, shocks, ball joints, tie rods, brakes and steering > GO QUALITY UPGRADE

Was there and issue with the original mustang 2 front end?
@rottersgarage2 ай бұрын
Yes, most of the problem was the way it was installed, welding wise, and the bottom of the original was really smashed up. Sometimes it's easier to just start over, this was one of those times.... Plus we got rid of those hockey sticks and did tubular uppers and lowers which made the installation of the bags easier.
