The first album I heard of Rotting Christ, 8 years ago. I was only 17 years old, and I Remember how I felt at this moment ... Rotting Christ was I just needed in my life, and the moment I understood metal was what I need, and steel need now, and forever :) I can't explain really what I felt, but it was great ! Last year, 31st Octobre, was my first Rotting Christ live show, and it was fucking awesome ! I hope I will see them more times ! :D

Metal is the most powerful thing/dope you'll find in your life if you really love it, something that no one and nothing can take away from you. No wonder it was like I was reading my own story. Rotting Christ is one of the first bands that I came in contact with and I was about 15 then, I still remember the shock and bonding, instant and deep connection to my soul. That was back in 1996. As I myself am from Greece, seeing them on stage more than 20 times I can assure you the band is "worth the money". One of the best bands out there for sure, unique and consistent. I wish we all can catch them again live asap after this shit ends.

Wholly fuck! Rotting Christ publishing one of their best albums on youtube for free!? These are trully strange times!
@realitygutter96943 жыл бұрын
No surprise they publish it for free, RC are here in the first place for the music and the thrill of it all, not for the money. After all, someone that digs the album and the band will most likely purchase it. If someone can't afford but likes it, deserves to have access to the music. That's what is all about, art, communication, exaltation. And this stuff should always be for free, both in the beginning and in the end of the story. \m/
@brightshadowdnb33012 жыл бұрын
@@realitygutter9694 Agreed on the part of buying it if you like it (got this masterpiece on vinyl), but music should not be free as it's a very expensive undertaking to record and release albums. Artists need to sell a LOT of albums to break even, let alone make some profit. It would be fair game to have 1-2 minute previews of songs online imo
@realitygutter96942 жыл бұрын
@@brightshadowdnb3301 Art should be accecible to anyone that appreciates it not just for those who can afford it. There are people that buy stuff that they don't even listen to, just for the collection or trend, since the price is not something that concerns them cause they got the money easily, while on the same time there are people who are poor and would be more that greatful to be able to listen to the material and read the lyrics. Rotting Christ are a band that has toured all over the world, the still play even in villages in the middle of nowhere (in countries where most bands wouldn't even discuss the possibility of visiting) just for the thrill of it all, to meet and communicate with people, and they have seen poverty that you can't imagine. I happen to be Greek and to know Sakis personaly and he is one of the greatest guys out there, he's all about love of music, solidarity, fairness and respect. I'm know he wouldn't be happy if he knew that someone who loves the band can't have access to their material because he or she has not the money to buy the format. I'm 100% pro that and I've been a musician myself for 25 years, spent a fortune on making and recoring music and still I want the same thing since day one. I don't argue that money is necessary when it comes to professional musicians but art and creative expression has no objective price imo. Some people put a price on everything, even on the highest values like freedom or dignity, I personaly oppose that by all means.
