Rough Ryder Black and blue series Congress. Review

As I watch your review I am fondling my black and blue congress and upswept bow trapper that just came in the mail. You hit the nail on the head! The congress is pocket candy! It is beautiful. The blue is so nice. The overall size is wonderful. I just can't say enough about how great this knife is!

Never been a fan of the Congress pattern but damn, they did everything right on this knife. Gorgeous!

The four blades for this knife, as shown at SMKW are supposed to be a 1) spearpoint blade, 2) sheepsfoot blade, 3) small sheepsfoot (or modified coping blade) and 4) pen blade. The knife you received appears to have two small sheepsfoot (modified coping) blades, not small sheepsfoot and pen blades. Meant only as a heads-up.

I really like this series. Stunning looks (that blue!) and tactile saw cut bone. I hope that this knife ends up on this side of the pond. I don't have a blue knife or a Congress yet! You're spot on with the RR quality. I'm (like most of us) on a budget - with RR being so good I feel that I can pass on more expensive knives and not feel left out. That goes for Marbles too, by the way, which are made in the same factory as RR. I got a super Barlow with REAL Ram's Horn from Marbles. You've got to check them out. Such a beautiful series. Rough Ryder's are such an incredible value for the price. They are just as good as most Case knives and they cost 1/4th to 1/7th the price. I know saying that they are as good as most Case knives is a very bold statement but from my experience with both brands, that's my opinion. Great video once again. (Just going back and watching videos from before I found this channel)

Gec knives are too hard too get a hold of so when you get one it's hard to get out of that honeymoon phase and actually use it lol. I finally got into rough Ryder and am loving these videos

it's true, RR knives are getting even better as times goes by. I love them, their quality is amazing. The only thing I would like for them to improve is a little more tension on the spring :)

Exactly!!!! Why spend crazy money on high cost knives when you can by 5 or more RR knives for the same money!!! Unless of course you have money to burn or a ton of “disposable” income!! 🤪
